Finally saw ANT-MAN & THE WASP.

Solid film, but nothing extraordinary. Hope and Janet's story utterly makes that movie what it is though. The Ghost/Goliath stuff is fine. The concept of Scott being out of the house when he's not allowed and steering clear of the FBI is fine. The action scenes are cool. Overall I feel like without the Hope Wasp story...it would be not as good as the first film. With them, it's definitely solid.

Just saw it too. Thought it was a fairly decent mid rank Marvel flick. There were a few plot points that had me going "Huh? How did they get from A to Z123?" even with the willing suspension of disbelief watching a Marvel film entails.

But overall a solid 8 million semi-sentient trained ants out of 11 million.

EDIT: I thought Kim Jong-Un played a good fun part though.

New Captain Marvel trailer dropping during MNF tonight. I'll be disappointed if it isn't posted here a millisecond later. So get that copy and paste, fast twitch muscle loosened up and just do it.

Strange trailer or teaser I guess you'd call it. It doesn't really explain what the premise of the film will be. Is it a time travel story? A revenge story? Can the infinity gauntlet be restored?

What an interesting trailer. A few hints of events and mood, but gives little away.

FTFY.

If ANY movie in history didn’t need an explanatory trailer...it’s this one. Hell, it doesn’t even need one for marketing. People are going to see this movie regardless.

Yes but please bear in mind the target market of most "blockbuster" movie trailers.

Is that April 26 as in the 26th of April?
Or April 2026, as in clearly a prank logo

Why would it be 2026 when we already know it's coming out on the 26th of April?

I think it's the difference between countries display standards. Like Macros, that date suggests it's a year to me as well, when the number comes after the month.

It's like America's bizarre tradition of writing month, day, year. It's confusing when you're mentally used to reading it in a different order.

America's order is silly.
Small, middle, big
Day, month, year

I don't follow movie news like some people, I usually get my movie news here.
So with that in mind, I assume Cap Marvel comes out before Avengers endgame?

Year-Month-Day is clearly the best

Yes. Captain Marvel in March, then Endgame in late April.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

At least you can easily decipher the odd way we do that.

As opposed to saying i'm 6 foot 5 inches tall and i weigh 260 pounds and i'm going to go run a 100 yard dash, jog 2.5 miles, then drink 3 quarts of water then pick up a gallon of milk and a 6 inch sub for my kids.

Oh, and its 48 degrees outside.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Yards are the same as meters I think. Also 1 inch is the same as "1 tomme" in Danish, which is 2,5 centimeters. Or 1/4th of 10 centimeters, which is a perfectly cromulent measurement.

Also Fart is Danish for speed.

There's a Danish city called Middelfart.

Kok pronounced Cock is Danish for chef.

And Slut means finish/end. As in "the ending" would be "slutning" in Danish.

Pik and kok mean the same things in Dutch. We extually had a prime minister in the nineties called Wim Kok. Speed in Dutch is vaart. And finish/end is slot.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

A yard is ~91% of a meter, so don't confuse the two in your measurements!
They came with white hands and left with red hands.
