It's kind of sucks that a lot of that is unavailable....but the nightfalls and heroics were always top cap level events...that top cap level has just moved with the game.

Some of the other stuff like the PVP stuff is really cruddy.

They should not have taken away some of that.

I got kind of screwed in that I could not get TTK without owning the 2 previous expansions, so I basically had to spend $90 again (including taxes) to get all three expansions together.

Bungie is running a business, and I get that....but some of their decisions have been pretty rank.

RE the first point, that's not quite true. I was never top level pre-TTK (32 was my highest), but I could still play nightfalls (albeit with much difficulty), and I could certainly do heroic dailies and weeklies, and much higher level strikes than I'm able to now.

I read on reddit the other day that Microsoft and PlayStation were giving partial refunds to people who complained about what you just posted, Khell, to try and avoid class action lawsuits, and because it apparently violates consumer laws in a number of European countries.

If you don't intend to purchase TTK, I guess I'd call/write whichever companies service you use and see if you can get some of your money back because they removed a number of things you can do with this new release.

This is different from something like a WoW release, where if you don't buy the new x-pack you can play the same stuff you could before, you just can't get to the new content.

Spent all the coins I'd been saving on Xur. Got a ridiculous amount of duplicates. 2 x Helm of Saint 14, 2 x Taikonaut, 2 x Light Beyonc Nemesis, 2 x Helm of Inmost Light. I swear the guy is just fucking with me. On the plus side I grabbed An Insurmountable Skullfort which is actually good now and got a sweet arc exotic auto rifle from a 3 of coins that chains lightning. Good haul overall I'd say!

Did the first part of the raid. Some fun jumping puzzles, then the first boss has an interesting mechanic and isn't a bullet sponge.

Second boss has an interesting mechanic, but seems to be a bullet sponge. We were putting over a million damage on him each and we weren't getting him below 3/4 health (Golgorath).

Because it would have made it too easy and 90% of players would have skipped the first half of the level grind. XD

I actually like it in retrospect. It's fun getting greens and blues you can use. Granted I spent yesterday getting legendaries and exotics at a rate of about 1:5 blues and greens, which was fantastic, but still. XD

(yes, I do have two exotic helmets and two exotic primaries from one day of play... Boolean Gemini is pretty fun even though it has not-exotic perks...)

Boolian Gemini is the only exotic i didn't buy from Xur.

And it is JAMAZING.

That agility boost on a hunter is redonkulous.

still trying to get a hang of the hunter bow special.

Found a new loot cave though.

I saw a few new exotics on the little I was able to play today. I can't play much without risking another seizure today. One Warlock helm is straight up House of Baratheon of GoT: The Stag. It looks much better then The Ram imo.

I think what they did instead was transferred marks to commendations... That's cheap sigh

It's OK. It might have some decent aesthetics, but its Exotic perk is atrociously useless outside of specific situations.

WHERE????!!!!¿¿¿¡¡¡

On the dreadnaught, in the 'back door' (Mausoleum), when the 'enemies move against each other' there is a spawn room for the majority of the hive that doesn't get fired upon by the Cabal or other hive. If you have a friend or two you can just farm this cave, but only when they move against each other.

In other news, the new hunter super-radar is fucking broken. I want it on every subclass of every class.

Just got my Nightstalker subclass...and oh baby is is sweet!

Also, more Cayde6 (Fillion) is always entertaining!

Enjoying TTK immensely so far.

I must confess I've been underwhelmed by it and it was the one I was wanting most of the 3. Only having 1 arrow really sucks and it's siphon effect on other targets isn't strong to me at all. It can be upgraded but compared to Golden Gun I think the gun wins for starting lvls. I'm trying to upgrade it. I got the 2nd tier just now.

Start playing with other people and you will realise it's the only decent Hunter subclass for orb generation. XD Also is a great crowd control option in a game where that is sorely lacking.

Ugh, apparently everyone else has learned the new maps by rote. Mother fuckers in Crucible are relentless shits again. Just when I had learned all the old maps and could rank pretty highly in any given match....now I'm back at the bottom getting clipped every two seconds. Fuuuuuuuuuck

I figure a lot of it is learning the maps and their nooks ans crannies ect. as that was a part of what helped me with the old maps...so it's going to take some time...but it's going to be frustrating.

Made it up to Oryx last night.

Not yet figured out the Oryx fight, but the rest of them aren't bad so far. Got some new shoulders and a ghost upgrade (finally) that put me up to 297 light.

So apparently, if you do the Daily Heroic Strike "Lost To Light" and run it as fast as possible without dying and get to the 3rd escape door, run past it to another room, and your Ghost will rattle off a line about a "fallen transmission"...and you will have to battle off a SERIOUS amount of Taken...but if you succeed, you get the Year 2 version of the Black Hammer, the Black Spindle Sniper Rifle.

I doubt I could get anywhere close to achieving this, but some of you players who are better than me might have a go.

Kotaku has the deets and a video.

Looking at getting it tonight. It can also drop a ship, 1 of 4 of a set, so people are assuming that there are 3 others like this... somewhere.

Also it broke on Reddit first. Skip kotaku if you want actual destiny news, and head right over to /r/destinythegame

All day everyday, my friend. XD

How much does it help and how do you actually do it?

OK.

Step 1: Have a Legendary weapon/armour.
Step 2: Have a more powerful (light rating) weapon/armour - green, blue, purple, doesn't matter.
Step 3: Have at least 3 Legendary Marks, 1 Mote of Light, some materials, glimmer, etc.
Step 4: Equip the item from step 1. Press Y(triangle?) to Inspect it.
Step 5: Hover over the left-most icon that looks like a golden logo of some kind (kinda like the 'Ascend' icon previously). Press whatever button your PS version tells you to press. XD
Step 6: Select the item you wish to Infuse the currently equipped item with.

So, for example: I have a Light 200 chest (legendary). I also have a Light 250 chest (rare). I equip the Legendary piece (because it's the one I want to make more powerful), and go into the details/infuse menu. Then I select the Light 250 rare chest, and hold X(square?) to dismantle for infusion. Boom. I now I have a Light 240-ish Legendary chest. No more rare 250.

It only works on weaker armours being upgraded with more powerful armours as the sacrificial piece. No sacrificing a lower-level armour for more power. It only works on Legendaries (or things with the Infuse icon, I guess, but basically only Legendaries). It costs Legendary Marks and Motes, plus a handful of other items. And it won't (probably) get it up to the *same* power as the piece you sacrificed if the difference is larger than a few points (think 90% of the old piece in most cases where the difference is more than 10 points). You'll need to find more powerful items to sacrifice to it later to make it even better.

Long story short; do it on weapons with great perks and stats that you want to use, but are lagging in the attach/defense rating area. Easiest way to rank up your favourite gear and get more powerful.

...of course, this doesn't mean you shouldn't ever wear that 290 rare boots - if it helps you get over the line for a Heroic or whatever, it's better to use something more powerful in the short term, than a midway compromise. Especially as you may just get an even more powerful drop after that event. *shrug* But generally, infuse, infuse, infuse. If you've got something you like, anyway.

Ok so I guess it would be a waste to infuse something if there is say only 5 pts different? Or do you get pts for every one to gain rep like van/Cru etc?

It will still give you some benefit (probably 3-4 points). All you need to consider is whether it's worth 3 Legendary Marks - if you've got heaps of those and nothing to buy, then sure, go ahead. But if you're saving up Marks you might want to hold off for a more powerful infusion to make better use of them.
