Yeah, it's straight popcorn fun. Nothing too taxing, with a couple of surprising twists and turns.

Nobody mentioned the new Suicide Squad movie yet? I thought it was thoroughly entertaining and a huge step up from the Will Smith debacle.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Gonna be out on HBO Max this week in the U.S., and I'm looking forward to it. I think it's theater-only outside the U.S. unfortunately.

Just skip NEMESIS.
GENERATIONS is fine (though I never much liked the plot), FIRST CONTACT is the finest Trek movie ever made, and INSURRECTION is like a great two-parter episode....but NEMESIS is utter and complete dreck from start to finish.

I havnt watched the films in years either but I'll be sticking with the series. Not even sure they are on netflix.
Couldn't agree with you more about first contact. Can't remember nemesis which probably tells its own story.

I've greatly enjoyed watching Red letter Medias discussions about the Star Trek movies. Those guys really like Star Trek. Well, Jay probably not so much.

Going to make a prediction -
There will be a movie, in the same vein as "Night at the Museum", where the player busts at the NFL Football Hall of Fame come to life at night and play football against each other. This all thanks to Peyton Manning's induction speech over the weekend. You just know some high falutin movie producer was on the phone after hearing that speech.

Programming alert!
I know most of you guys aren't sports fans, but I think this game is one worth mentioning to you all. So Thursday night there will be an MLB baseball game played in Iowa at the "Field of Dreams" movie location. And those endless rolling fields of corn 6' and taller are going to be glorious to behold as they edge right up to the playing field.
So even if you don't care about baseball, drop in on the live game and check out some of those sweeping shots of wonderment. I hope they replicate that scene from the movie where the legends walk out of the corn onto the playing diamond. Don't you just love America?

Is it just me or has MLB decided to do this about 2 decades too late? I would be surprised if many under 20 year olds have watched Field of Dreams and young fans are what MLB is losing. I've seen the movie more than once and like it but that isn't enough to make me more than glance at this tonight, if even that. Baseball used to be my favorite sport but it has really done itself in lately. I don't ever watch a single whole game before the playoffs start anymore. I will be interested to find out what the ratings are for the game...

Field of Dreams is one of those sports, feel good classics that gets passed on to newer generations. The same is true for The Sandlot, and Rocky, The Mighty Ducks, and more. I'm of the same mindset though. I'm only going to check it out to see the setting and the location and not going to be bothered with what's going on with the game. After a few wide shots and overhead flyovers with a drone or whatever, that will be enough for me and I'll probably stop watching. I think it's a cool concept though. I hope it isn't a dud, which it very well could be. We'll see I guess.

Ok, it's the 30th anniversary of the Field of Dreams movie. Costner just spoke to the crowd pre team introductions.

Slick production. This movie looks too realistic though. I wonder if that was by design?
Going to check back in when night falls. See if they have some cool shots set up for dark.
[EDIT] Children of the Corn is a Stephen King deal, right?
