Still haven't seen 8 or Hobbs and shaw

Hobbs and Shaw was surprisingly fun, though the Rock spent a little too much time masturbating to his own reflection.

Put on PADDINGTON 2 for my son....and you know what, for a wholesome movie with every British person in it...I'm not surprised it was good, but I AM surprised that it made me weepy at the end.

The Paddington films are excellent. We watched P2 a few weeks ago, same reaction at the end, someone snuck in and squirted water on my face

Yah, same.

The whole cast does a great job, and the animation on Paddington is incredible, his face emotive expressions marry in perfectly with a great vocal performance

Really don't get the Fast and Furious love. Vin Diesel is a shitty actor and don't even get me started on Tyrese Gibson, I've walked out of a F&F movie when I could take no more of his character. Aside from really dopey car crashing special effects, which are so over the top unbelievable, rudimentary physics defying fluff, the movie franchise is about as stupid a 90 min you can spend on one thing. Absolute drivel.

Hobbs and Shaw is directed by David Leitch and is therefore the most slick and polished of the lot when it comes to the action while also leaning hard into a frankly quite bizarre sense of humour- it's a suprisingly weird film.

F8 is a good step back up after F7 which unfortately, for all the classiness of the farewell to Paul Walker, didn't really stick the ending otherwise. The whole city chase/shootout was weirdly unmemorable.

She went and she left me like litter. She took all future summers with her. I lost all my money cuz I tried to bribe her. Now I can only afford an amateur sniper.

Was that ... the whole movie? "twists" and all? It's nice to see old wire rope can take the strain of a falling car at whatever speed without breaking. Must be some of that super thick spider silk wire rope.

Two films ago Dom collapsed a building by stamping his footy-woot and in this very trailer he appears to catch a car with his bare hands. The tensile strength of some rope is minor stuff in this series.

The Rock catches an attack helicopter with a chain, and at one point pulls it towards the ground with upper body strength alone. It is unrealistic because the chain isn't thick enough to sustain that sort of strain.

I'm chuffed for the Oscars, they've got some real buzz and attention from the honour of having Parasite win.
