Watched CHRISTOPHER ROBIN last night, and wife and I were suitably punched in the feels by all the lovely childhood nostalgia. What an utterly wonderful film that never tries to be more than it is, and simply gets down and revels in it. It's HOOK for the Hundred Acre Wood instead of Neverland, and I quite enjoyed it.

Lets see, I saw outlaw king and was pleasantly surprised, biting groundbreaking there but I liked it more than I thought I would. Velvet buzzsaw had potential and a coupe of cool ideas but ultimately was a letdown and waste of time. IO was mediocre, not offensively bad but no reason to recommend anyone watch it. Yes I have been doing some netflixing.
Captain marvel was fine. I didn’t love it or hate it. Now we have another overpowered hero. If you’re into the marvel universe for sure watch it, but I don’t think I’ll be ever seeing it again. Worth the price of admission just to say fuck you to the incels boycotting it though.

Watched Bad Times at the El Royal with the girlfriend yesterday and we both enjoyed it tremendously. Maybe we were just in the right mood for it, but it was just a well made, fun little movie with an amazing cast.

I recall hearing this was about the Sharon Tate murders and Charlie Manson, but this appears to be more about Hollywood in general in that era and how older stars had trouble finding roles in an unrecognizable landscape? There is that one shot of the guy playing Manson, but he's smiling...so I'm not sure what's going on...
Anyways, I don't much like Tarantino...but I admit the story here has me quite interested. And goofy Brad Pitt is the BESt version of Brad Pitt.

Stopped half way into that trailer.
I'd advise anyone not to watch the trailer since at the half way point they reveal something crucial. Just go watch the film, we all know it'll be awesome.

100% agree. I didn't even click or even consider it. Not an new IP to inform people about or make people aware of. We already know, so yup, just trying to contain the excitement until it hits theaters. All 'final trailers' (or what ever the fuck) can lick a dick and fuck off.

I don't mind Tarantino all that much, except for that whole "Tarantino's 8th film/Tarantino's 9th film" bit. Who the fuck cares? It's pretentious bullcrap and he's not that good, nor is he what I would call an artist.
Unless there's some counter where he's decided to only make a certain number of films to see how much he can learn doing it, then there's really no reason for it. And it makes me want to not see his movies.
