They're all three "pretty good", with the first one being the best of the bunch.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I saw The Favourite last night. It was my second choice after Stan And Ollie but my cinema companions talked me into it. Fine, I'm in love with Olivia Coleman. I was expecting a terrifically acted period drama which is good but a bit dull in my book. That's what I got but it was also not like that at all. The way it was executed was really interesting and it's hilarious. I highly recommend it. It's a proper good film that just happens to revolve around 3 women rather than one of "those" films for women.

Awesome. I want to see it because I am ALSO in love with Olivia Colman. But yeah, word is that it's quite entertaining. I'll have to wait for digital mind you, but definitely want to see it.

This tall drink of water, Boban Marjanović (listed a 7ft 3in) is going to be in the movie. Are they going for the Bruce Lee vs. Kareem Adbul-Jabbar vibe from Game of Death?

Hell yeah, man. The first time we see "The Power Glove", which turned out to be kinda garbage.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Once upon a Deadpool.

The Princess bride breaks are brilliant, but the recut ruins the flow of the film

Is Glass a setup for more movies or is it a sort of finale for a trilogy?

Will definitely watch. Sam Elliot could sit in a chair and tell stories about badasses to a camera and I would watch the shit out of it.

His voice really is something that sets him apart from most other actors, right? It has an ASMR quality for sure (which is something I recently learned about due to it's popularity on YouTube). I love his little part in the The Big Lebowski. I don't know about you, but I take comfort in that. It's good knowin' Sam Elliott's out there. < < < < see what I did there? Posted Image

Crazy Rich Asians -- this movie is a solid two hours long and doesn't waste a single minute of it. That might sound like it's overly 'busy' but it's not that, it's just really well made -- writing, performances, cinematography, editing are all fantastic. It doesn't set out to subvert rom com tropes or anything, but it does everything (even the more predictable twists) really well. And it manages to be dramatic without being soapy, which I always appreciate. And most of all, it is immensely romantic. I'm not saying it's flawless (I mean, it's about crazy rich people and its only challenge to that really is about open-mindedness vs. closed-mindedness, and from what I've gathered it neglects a lot of the ethnic diversity of Singapore), but otherwise as an emotionally grounded rom-com-dram it's pretty top notch.

Finally got to watch this on the weekend and I loved it! Start to finish it's fantastic. Really looking fwd to the next two chapters (shooting back to back for 2020 I hear).

I wanted to eat everything that everyone ate in that movie. The food looked SO DAMN GOOD. The stuff at that food court.... argh....

This is accurate. Especially, as you mention, early on when Rachel and Nick are with Araminta and Collin in the food market in Singapore, I wanted to devour everything I saw!

Very much finale for a trilogy. Unbreakable, Split, Glass. Like Raymond said, quite enjoyable and a good closure to the universe. Although technically you could build on it if you really wanted, but then we verge into spoiler territory. They cleverly used some Unbreakable outtakes as well (at least I assume that at the time of filming Unbreakable, he didn't have Glass in mind yet). Some of the dialogues were a bit too spun out and overreaching in my opinion, but overall an enjoyable watch.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Is Bird Box scary? Mr PigDog is away and I want to watch something and he already saw it and says it's not scary but I heard it is scary. To place me on the scared scale I'm a total wuss - I still get scared if I think about watching Blair Witch about 20 years ago..... I don't want to spend the night cowering under the duvet afraid to go for a wee!!! But I also want to watch something.

Watch it alone, with the lights off. If you live in an older house set the heating timer to come on sporadically during the night afterwards
