Condolences man. Losing a parent is rough.

Man……I was waiting a good 8 months to purchase this drone on Amazon that has night vision so I can peep in on the meth heads who are peeping in on me with their own drones. I held off through a lot of sales some as low as 38% off. I figured if I waited till cyber Monday I’d probably get my best deal and I was right! 44% off! That “night vision” is such a misadvertisment. It has a night MODE that doesn’t enhance anything really. Very disappointing after all that time and still spending over $300. I’ve been flying it nonetheless and I’m positive they know I have it as I’ve seen their drone launch point move deeper into the woods in the weeks since getting it. I’m not yet comfortable sending it that far but I have a 2 mile range. I’ve been zipping around learning the bells and whistles on it. I ll have to take steps to cover up my lights when I send it to them so they don’t shoot it down.

I’m hoping to get a hand off captured, the drone crew in action and which house they are poring out of once I’m more comfortable sending it out of direct eye contact which will be required in order to do so. I just have to figure out a way to block the bright lights without affecting its ability to fly/maneuver. To worried it ll be shot down otherwise.

You want to see if I get anything good captured?

You're not concerned that they might follow the drone back to you? If their drones pursue your drone... well if you realize that's what's happening you could send them on a wild drone chase. Maybe over to the police station.

Well, yeah, but safety first of course. These people don't exactly sound like model citizens. Please be careful. Maybe an anonymous tip to the local cops might be in order?

Is your drone loud? How good is the camera? Can you keep it a decent distance away?

Then again if they've seen it they may already think they're compromised.

He should set up an elaborate series of booby traps just in case. And escape routes---so they don't capture him (or worse).

(Mostly kidding... the main problem, aside from the difficulty of setting them up to be both nonlethal and effective, is that the booby traps probably wouldn't be set up to only be triggered by the proper people.)

I don't know why but I have realized that despite nearly being 40 I don't think of myself as such.

It just hit me right now that a former colleague of mine who in my head was older and wiser is probably my age. I don't know why but I always tend to give everyone else but not myself the benefit of experience. I always say that I don't feel that much different today than I did at 30, maybe even 25 (Im sure im very different but it happens gradually). I know I am different. My career is further, I live in my own place etc but somehow it doesn't effect me the way I think it should.

Whether its colleagues, people I meet socially etc I seem to default to giving them seniority over me forgetting that I am old enough to be having a midlife crisis.

Time for you both to start your mid-life crises.
