Ten substances in his system. Not sure if all of them are illegal or harmful. I'm guessing the opioids is what led to his passing. I don't get the attraction to pain meds and opioids. When I had an emergency appendectomy, they gave me percocets and I had to request something else because I couldn't deal with how they made me feel - full fledged space cadet zone, with a touch of nausea. I would rather deal with the pain instead of taking that medication. They switched me over to vicodin, which I could tolerate. But even with that option I had probably 1/3rd of the bottle left, which I ended up flushing.

It will be interesting to see what configuration the band takes on if they continue. I can see Dave Grohl playing drums to honor of Hawkins's memory initially, but not sure if that can be pulled off and handling some of the singing at the same time, especially on the more technical drumming songs / faster tempo tracks.

If you listen to comedians talking about performing in clubs, they're always at risk of getting attacked. People are drunk or high and want to fight, somebody in the crowd get offended or feel insulted. Lot's of shit goes down in smaller venues with no security.

I have many thoughts about the whole thing….but the main one is that Chris Rock ATE that slap. He stood there like a slab of granite and took that shit like a fucking trooper.

If I were Smith, I’d be embarrassed it didn’t even rock Chris back, he just tilted to the side a bit, but his feet stay firmly planted.

But yeah tasteless jokes are not against the law, misdemeanour assault is. As far as I’m concerned Hollywood lives in its own realm of “rules”…because we watched a crime committed on live TV and that man was not only allowed to stay and retake his seat, but he was given a standing ovation and an award 30 minutes later.

Hollywood is fucking mental.

If I told you a story about a dude in a bar making a poor joke at someone else’s wife’s expense and that dude lashing out physically at the joker….you’d ask me when he was arrested… but like for politicians, Hollywood lives by its own rules and laws apparently…

Kanye's "Imma finna let you finish" interruption was more of an affront to award show decency because it wasn't fake/staged.

It will be entertaining to hear how the Fox News personalities cover the slap - Tucker Carlson: "Black lives matter, except when it comes to black on black violence." Or something along those lines I'm predicting.
