Is Randal Flagg in the stand.

Flagg... yah, that works I think.

Even better, maybe, is Whoopie Goldberg as Mother Abigail.

I'm not sure I BUY Sybill as a skinny attractive women over a more matronly look she's described as in the books, but I get it, it's TV so they should be pretty.

Insert paragraph about it not mattering what actors look like, yadda yadda

Isn't part of the personality of Sybil that she is an 'older' spinster whom has never felt particularly attractive until she met Vimes?

Indeed. A weighty dowager countess. It's part of her character. It also was Pratchett thumbing his nose at societal norms by basically filling Ankh-Morpork with all manner of characters, shapes, races, sizes, and whathaveyou. So it had a point.

I mean as long as the actress does the role well I probably won't kvetch about it, but it was notable at the very least.

Evil Empress (50 miles away): This...this power of peek-a-boo...must be mine!!

So many questions.

How do they hunt? Do they have snares for wolves and bears?

How do they build houses?

How do you fight a war between two blind armies? Do you yell Marko Pollo to discern who's friend or foe?

Why do they have hairstyles and fashion if nobody can see?

But most importantly ...

Classic overthinking error, Apt. Just emerge yourself in the grandness of their concept.

No.

That Momoa thing looks like a reboot of Willow. With twins. And less little people.

On the plus side, my evening consisted of pizza, wine and a Sons of Anarchy triple bill. Seven eps in, I'm totally onboard.

This week I averaged 5-7 hours of sleep.

All it to be blamed on season 5 of the wire.

If you mean 70s BSG... watch a few minutes on YouTube, you'll know pretty quickly if you want the retro entertainment. I recommend the premiere and The Gun On Ice Planet Zero.

If you mean BSG 1980, watch the Starbuck episode. That's all. The rest is atrocious.

If you mean 00s BSG, oh hell yes. Like most sf tv it has its brilliant runs and its slogs, but as a series... yeah, I think its worthwhile.

00s BSG. For the earlier ones, I wasn't even swimming in my dad's balls yet. So have no idea about those.
