They do, but they’re not common. Might have to do some investigating.

Basically corn meal, oil, salt.

How dissapointing. It’s the stock flavor in South Africa. Every chip manufacturer must offer that flavor.

Had to call the cops today.

A man was beating another man with a baseball bat in the street!

I’m calling it. I am now a real New Yorker. I have seen dead rats, been threatened, called the cops, encountered psychos on the subway, seen the homeless empty their stoma bags on the subway.

After you called the cops did you stay and yell obscenities at the bat welding guy.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

I’ve never been a big fan of Fritos unless I get a Frito pie at a ball game which fuck me ive just realized has been about 20 yrs since I last went to one.

Not big on chips anyway but when I do eat it’s usually Doritos or some sour cream Ruffles or Pringles.

Wait, back the truck up there...
Wtf is a fritos pie? Google tells me nachos made w fritos instead of tortilla chips...

Basically.

But around here its when you dump chili into a mini bag of Fritos and eat it with a spoon. They sell it at kids ball games and street fairs and such.

Can be pretty damn good.

I hope everyone is having a meaningful Memorial Day!

You know I actually like that one company messaged me to say they were closed so that there staff could take the day to remember their fallen. I mean they still took the PR but it seems a big leap over every other company that wants to remind me they celebrate mourning dead soldiers with 50% off sales

The thing is though, the type of chili you dump into a bag of Fritos matters. It sounds counter to deliciousness, but you need to use that cheap, meat slurry type of chili that they dump on hotdogs at the ball park. DO NOT use your uncle's kicks ass 3 alarm chili that wins contests. Fritos and cheap ass meat slurry = yum yum yum yum.

Very much so true. It's food garbage gold. And garbage only serves to bring down diamond quality food, while garbage and garbage are very complimentary and equally tasty and terrible for you!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

What's your general budget and goals?

If you really want cheap, I suggest finding a Kohl's and then browsing through their unorganized racks. If you want convenience, I'd suggest going to a Gap. Might be good to find a dressy button up short sleeve with a collar somewhere you like to go over the top of some plain shorts.

Would recommend avoiding cargo shorts.

I tend to get my stuff from Patagonia as they really last a while.

For plain black/grey/white shirts, I just get Hanes from Target.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

It’s tricky to answer, costs here are not what I’m used to. I used to wear polo shirts. I bought a bunch of high quality ones five years ago from a clearance sale of Nelson Mandela’s clothes line. Prob best deal I ever got. Like 7 dollars. A shirt and they still perfect. However I left all my summer clothes behind when I moved. Figured I’d be settled and shops would be open by the time summer hit. My god NY is boiling today!

I guess 30 dollars would be the average price of a good polo in SA. I’m generally happy to pay more for quality. A shirt that costs twice as much but lasts 3 times as long is a fine investment. I generally feel though past a point a shirt is a shirt and Wurlitzer has hit a maximum.

I’ll see if there is. Patagonia nearby. I thought they did winter jackets

Thrift shops. Especially in NYC for retro zazz.

This could be your summer to walk down the street with your silk shirt unbuttoned and your hirsute sexiness on full display. Throw in some thick chains to complete the look. Go John Travolta chic a la Saturday Night Fever or Son of Sam menace when those NYC nights in July stay north of 85 °F.
