huh, a trailer for the Moon Knight series. Doesn't reach out and grab me or anything, but it looks alright. Don't know anything about this particular Marvel character. What baddie/nemesis is Ethan Hawke supposed to be?

I'm no Moon Knight expert, but as far as I can tell he's new for the show.

Arthur Harrow, apparently.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Oscar Isaac is a GREAT choice to play the MCU version of Batman, and I can't wait to watch the show.

What's the deal with the British accent? Something to do with multiple personalities and one of them expresses themselves that way, I think?... not sure though.

OK I'm not sure if many have seen Eternals, so I'm putting this in spoiler tags just in case.

Spoiler

The movie btw was ... meh. I give it 5.5 to 6 out of ten immortal superpowered people. Just didn't really engage me that much. A few cute moments and good bits here and there, but it's telling that it took me 4 sessions to finish it over 2 weeks.

Just watched Eternals today. Didn't notice your spoiler note at the time, but now that you mention it...I guess I'll chalk that up to bad writing though. This script was a mess. Even for a summer blockbuster style movie, it was remarkably void of subtext and near-completely emotionally inert. So much tell-don't-show. Which as you say, doesn't mean it was all bad, cuz it has other things to offer too, but yeesh. MCU's lowest point since Age of Ultron imo.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

It’s bad when a medium budget tv show from the late 90’s early 2000’s (STARGATE SG1) handles the whole “ancient aliens” thing in a more interesting way than a 2021 big budget tent pole directed by an Oscar winner and starring a cast of all stars.

ETERNALS is beige AF and dull as dishwater.

Watched Black Widow and Eternals in the last week.

I actually enjoyed BW quite a bit, mostly because Florence Pugh and David Harbour were awesome.

Eternals was pretty rough. Seriously, who was in charge of the scope/size of the emerging celestial from different view points? It was such a varying range of size from shot to shot it was f’ing ridiculous.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Sombra - the always wondered bit in Eternals really clanged for me too. The film was pretty terrible.

I saw the new Spidey movie last night. Spidey has always been my favourite MCU character, I just love his powers. I'm easily pleased if there is plenty of web slinging. I enjoyed it a lot but there was a lot of schmaltz. I'll be watching it as soon as it arrives on Disney+. I foolishly missed Into The Spiderverse and I guess the whole Sony thing means they don't have access to it in perpetuity.

Yeah. And you don't cast PStew in your MCU MULTIVERSE-IS-BROKEN-OPEN movie and have him be anybody but Professor Charles Xavier.

I'm also using that to speculate that the second Wanda we see standing in front of the Wandavision Wanda....is The Fox X-Men-verse version of Wanda, AKA Magneto's Daughter.

And if we are dealing with the Illuminati, that means

^ Oh yeah, I wanted to add this before we move on to the next MCU thing. Andrew Garfield makes the best looking Spider-Man. Tom Holland is not bad, but I always felt he was too young looking, but I think that is the point with his movies (e.g. a younger Peter Parker being all awkward and unsure of himself). Tobey Maguire looks weird to me, seeing him as Spider-Man now. Seems off and not right for the role. It's been what, like almost 20 years or something since he stepped into the role?

Well, the spoilers kind of suck. If Tom Cruise is in a movie I won't be watching it.

Holy crap, I guess the initial reviews coming out about Moon Knight say it's really solid, and Star Wars/Dune guy is supposed to be really good in it.

Just Finished FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER.
It was entertaining. I did not buy Karli/Flagsmasher as the big bad at any point and i thought the show spent entirely too much time on her and trying to add shades of gray to her character, but i otherwise enjoyed. Walker's turn as Cap and subsequent events were a bit blunt but effective. Sam and Bucky were their movie characters and worked great together, the various cameos and guest appearances were pretty much perfect. I want twelve episodes of the Contessa.

On to WANDAVISION.
