So I finally have seen GOTG3 and wow. I laughed, I cried, I was taken for a fantastic, hilarious, heart wrenching ride!

QT has been far more eloquent than I could be about this but man, I think this was the best of the trilogy, if not the best of the MCU films full stop.

The Florence and the Machine sequence at the end was phenomenally done. That is all.

I watched it too. I thought it was the third-best GotG movie, personally, but that also makes it the third-best MCU movie.

My feeling on it was that it was an awesome 2 hour film slightly trapped in a still-very-good 2.5 hour film. But it certainly hit the emotional notes.

I saw it today too. It was very good.

I also binged Secret Invasion the last few days. Not sure what I made of it. It's not bad. Samuel L Jackson carries whatever it is. That's never a bad thing. Olivia Coleman is also wonderful. Not sure about the rest.

LOKI S2 Episode 1 was messy and only okay initially...and then Key Huy Quan showed up and it became amazing. Not that it was only amazing when he showed up (which I mean, he's amazing so maybe) but the whole episode turns that point and starts explaining shit and it became infinitely less messy as a result.

Final trailer does what the first few could not, and makes me want to se this flick. Looks so much better than the "freaky Friday" nonsense of the first trailer.



Also, at the 1:45min mark you can see someone walk in front of Monica in a suit that's not immediately recognizable...but if you PAUSE that shit in HD...you get a BIG surprise.

Bruv....that's the X-Men logo....if I had to put money on it, Id' say she's in the X-Mansion in an alternate universe and that person walking in front of her? Storm....white suit, white cape, and gold bangles/stripes at her wrists? Dark skin? Storm. I'll even go further than say that the rest of that screen LOOKS like it's showing Cerebro....

There IS a slight possibility that it's just Valkyrie in a new suit and it's not an X-logo on the screen at all....but I'd love it to be Storm.

so leaks make it sound like it's actually Maria Rambeau (Monica's mom) in the alternate universe in her Red and white "Binary" suit she wore when she was with the X-Men and that Kelsey Grammar's Beast appears in that scene too? Meaning that the universe she drops into is the FoX-Men Verse?

The advance pessimism for MARVELS is borderline depressing. The usual Brie Larson haters, the anti-Muslim Ms Marvel set, and then a whole mix of people who seem to take everything the MCU has ever done going back to IM2 as a personal insult. So much toxic.

So yeah I saw the whole post-credit scene from THE MARVELS (one of the two anyways, the other one is cool but less mind-blowing) and it is very much:

Kelsey Grammer's Beast (though done like Ruffalo's Hulk CGI-wise and looking WAY better and more like Beast circa 90's X-MEN cartoon than the incarnation he played in makeup in the FoX-Men movies. They are standing near the Cerebro room in the X-Mansion, and Beast tells Monica that she's dropped into this reality from another one through a crack in the universes...which he explains is impossible...then Monica's mother Maria from that reality and dressed in her Binary X-Men costume (played by the same actress from CAPTAIN MARVEL obvs) says to Beast "Charles wanted an update" and Beast leaves...Binary/Maria Rambeau then turns to Monica and says "Who are you?" and Monica sighs and goes "Shit."

Oh and they play the X-Men musical cue in the score at that moment...which...noice!

Very cool not to just have an X-Men reference, but a proper X-Men Beast in an MCU movie finally (barring Charles brief appearance in MoM)....like in a way that's GOING to affect the MCU going fwd.

The other Post-credit scene BTW is Kamala recruiting Kate Bishop (Hailee Seinfeld) for the Young Avengers. So cool as well, but not QUITE as cool.

I watched The Marvels. It's good. Not amazing but eminently watchable for those who are happy to sit through all the Marvel output. I wanted to see it at the cinema to put my £££ into the lady box office but life got in the way.

Anyway, the cool bits were the first big fight, the montage figuring out how to work as a team and then the space station evacuation plan. And the main post credits scene of course. The rest is kind of fluff but perfectly watchable.
