Later seasons of Smallville attempted to bring in all the others (fairly unsuccessfully in many cases - it just became a bit of box ticking - "this season we're introducing characters x, y and z)

Also, considering they've already got one ex-superman playing a different character in the universe (hello Brandon Routh) i wouldn't be surprised if they do cast Tom Welling but as an unrelated character.

I could see them doing it, especially after using Mark Hamill as the Trickster again...AND because we are going to see the future stuff (Flash museum, Killer Frost, ect.) long before they happen...I could fully see them using Welling as Superman in those parts.

Just marathoned the second half of the season and damn that was fun. A little heavy on the CW moments now and then, but overall a great second half to a hell of a first season. Wells was an excellent villain, Barrry learning his powers was sheer superhero joy, the supporting cast were great, he'll, even Iris became less irritating by the end. Plus Grodd is totally set to be the Big Bad next season. Flashtastic show, I'm totally in for S2.

When I was in Vancouver the week before last I got to see them filming a scene for season 2, right outside our hotel. Saw Grant Gustin (in a regular suit, not the Flash suit) and some new cast member who the other fans there seemed to know but I didn't have a clue who he was

Got my Season 1 BluRay set, and started re-watching in prep for next weeks Season 2 premiere...just wanted to say that it's EVEN better on a re-watch. Especially KNOWING Wells is RF from the outset.

I don't watch many shows the day they air. I guess that's a sign of a good show. Watched Flash season 2 premier yesterday, didn't disapoint!!

Yeah, it was a great premiere! The wife and I re-watched the finale form S1 first and chased it with the premiere.

Atom Smasher was cool, but I like that he's just the first of the villains to basically be a proxy of Zoom. It's also nice to see them pay attention to the fact that Barry's dad is a gameboard piece if he stays in Central City, so seeing him leave is bittersweet, but it works.

Also, Iris mentioning the beefed up security at STAR Labs was a genius nod to fans complaints about the security there.

and Jay Garrick! Weeeeeeee!

Great start to the season! The scene I saw being filmed in Vancouver was the very first scene after the opening title screen, where Barry was examining the body then walked into the car park with his case.

the best bit was that giant Sharkman was REAL...and Earth 2 Harrison Wells stole a Mercury labs gun and saved Patty (and Barry's) life! Awesome last few minutes!

I think that is actually a part of what they are doing (which is fine....Arrow spent a few eps setting up Barry in the season before Flash debuted)...but there are other things being dealt with too, it's a just a slower build on that.

Last night's ep was a fucking PHENOMENAL episode of the FLASH.

Just altogether excellent. Earth 2 Harrison Wells is an amazing dickhole...but SO enjoyable to watch. Tom Cavanaugh is just nailing it.


And the best line of the night obviously goes to Cisco

The line delivery was nothing short of fantastic. Valdes continues to make Cisco my fave character on the show next to Barry.

Cisco's brilliant Really enjoyed that episode. The atmosphere crackled in the scenes between Harry and Jay. The date was hilarious

No you're not on crack I hope. Zoom is being voiced (and probably played) by Tony Todd. His voice is awesome whether he's playing a good guy or a baddie.

The show has been going along great so far this season. And we got the longer intro of another of the characters who will end up in LEGENDS OF TOMORROW. I think there is only the guy from the future left to introduce, and then the big bad, and we'll be ready for the storyline which kickstarts that spin off show. Looking good so far.


My only real gripe with last night's episode was that Tom Cavanaugh was overdoing it with the Christian Bale effect in his delivery as Harrison Wells. Just speak normally. Ok, maybe it wasn't full Bale, but trying too hard with the gravelly voice. Found it annoying. But apart from that, great stuff all round.
