Eobard Thawne basically taking out the real Harrison Wells to speed up the creation of the partial accelerator and becoming him!? Crazy!!

Mark Hamill absolutely killed as Trickster...he was essentially doing a variation on his Joker voice, and it totally worked for Trickster.

Goddamn, I love this show!!

Hmm, like most people I've seen discussing this show I actually think that she's the weakest link, by far, of this show. I know Iris is essential to the Flash, but I think they've chosen the wrong actress for the part and since you can't really replace her now, the show would, I think, be better of if they simply wrote her out/killed her off.

I'm of the mind that they've just not given Iris the best of the storylines. I feel like Patton does fine with what she's given...it's just that her place in the Flash world as it currently stands is kind of lame. I feel like once the whole Eddie-Barry-Iris love triangle is done with (once Eddie is revealed to be bad in some way), she'll be more interesting, and especially moreso once Bary reveals to her who he is. The people who are in the dark about Barry's alt-ego kind of just have to stand on the sidelines for a lot of stuff by the nature of the secret. Now that Eddie knows, AND Barry's dad knows...I feel Iris will be the next to find out, and it will improve her character. Just MHO.

Also, with regards to Eddie. In the promos for the rest of the season it looks like he ices two uniform cops in cold blood. Is it possible that Eobard Thawne (Harrison) reveals to Eddie that they are related by a few centuries and that causes some breakdown?

Also, considering the revelations about Eobard Thawne (the REAL Thawne) basically stealing the REAL Harrison Wells' identity (15 yrs ago) and looks and killing the real guy...as far as the actor staying on the show, does anyone think it's possible that if Barry goes back 15years and CAN'T for whatever reason save his mother (I doubt he'll be able to save her to be honest, she seems like a fixed moment in time and he's going to be heartbroken when he finds that out) that he'll save the REAL Harrison Wells, so that Tom Cavanaugh can continue on as a GOOD character and properly lead Team Flash? Seems like it might be doable...as the events which lead to the Flash being created and all the meta humans ect. could still occur...Barry could tell the REAL Harrison that the Particle Accelerator events MUST occur and occur as early as Thawne made them do so?

Andrew Kriesberg has said that we've not seen the last of Matt Lescher (Proper Reverse Flash before he absorbs Wells' DNA) either, and that more from Episode 15 (the one where all that shit went down and then Barry seemingly erased lots of it in Ep 16) is going to come out as unchangeable.

Lots of speculation, but I was seriously wondering last night how Tom Cavanaugh could stay on the show...especially after seeing how genuine the ACTUAL Wells was.

EDIT: Oh, and Jesse L. Martin not only does the Joe West Cop character well, he absolutely and 100% NAILS the father figure for Barry (and Iris for that matter). I swear any scene featuring him consoling Barry or even just talking man to man with him is just perfect. I buy the emotion every time. Same goes for any time Gustin and John Wesley Shipp when they interact as son and father. It's just more on display with West since Barry's dad is in Iron Heights most of the time.

I suppose you could be right that she just hasn't been given anything to work with, but Daddy Allen has had very little screen time AND seems a more fleshed out character and more believable than Iris does.

Sure, she's suffering from the terminal weakness of not knowing that Barry is the Flash, but still, I feel that Candice is just not delivering. She's the Katie Cassidy of the Flash, and I LOVE Katie Cassidy, she was bloody awesome in Supernatural.

Fair point. I just feel like some of Iris' lines are the problem ("You look like you have a heavy heart""....ugh!).

Speaking of: I was PISS-ED when Katie Cassidy's SUPERNATURAL character was recast as whatshisnuts's wife...Ruby was FAR better when played by Cassidy.

Last night's ep of was AWESOME! Loved the awkward dinner. Oh, and Emily Kinney (AKA Beth from TWD) as Bug-Eyed Bandit was cool. This is my first time seeing Brandon Routh as The Atom and I really like him. He fits that character. It's nice to know that the spinoff show will be named after him, as it will give that show a core to revolve around. And the inevitable Flash/Arrow/Atom crossover episode is going to be epic!

Oh and the best bit from the ep, aside from Felicity's one-liners and the puns was...

Great ep last night! Shit is really starting to pop off for Wells, and it was awesome to see West and Lance detecting together with differing styles. It was especially cool to hear Lance basically telling Joe flat out that keeping something form a family member is wrong, and Joe to come back and say "wouldn't you do anything to make sure your daughter is safe?"

The last scene was a nice "holy shit" moment!
