You forgot neutron bombs gnaw, khell could also grab them.
Hmmmmmmm going to sleep on that discovery tile. Normally I'd take the VP... But those plasma missiles are tempting...

No, he can't. Planta have starbase.

3x Ancient Technology: you may take the cheapest Tech nology Tile you don't already have from the Supply Board and place it on your Player Board for free. Discard the Discovery Tile.
However, I could easily be mis-interpreting that.
But, yeah, he could take the VP.

He can get the neutron bombs. The free tech is based on the lowest maximum cost items available. Neutron bombs, Gauss shields and nanorobots all cost a maximum of 2 so he has his choice of all three.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

He can take the cheapest tech he doesn't already have, starbase has nothing to do with it, its the techs base price, he can take any of the two techs he doesn't already have. He could take a 4 tech if he had all the two techs which were available.
And I've decided, I'm going to gamble and take the science.

The ones known as Planta, being one with their biological ships, and the greatest tenders in the galaxy, have learned to grow greater numbers faster.
Take Nanorobots.
Also, our ships are shitter - quantity over quality.

Working on a map update. ~ an hour or so.
Across the coffee table at the professorial breakfast room, prof. Grubber was enjoying a new and wholly unexpected rise of prestige. Expanding, as he had argued would be wise from a financial point of view had indeed proven advantageous, with more sources of income being assimilated into the campus. Not to mention the chances of trade. All around him people were vying for his attention, even his main detractors, the isolationists, the industrialists, the pacifists and the communists had gone quiet, giddy with visions of laboratories filled with foreign phd-students.
For now, his position was safe as the defacto headmaster. Already funds for a new library connected to the Institute of Galactic Finance had been procured and allocated. All was well. If only the undergrads at the Faculty of Astronomy could get to finalizing their new star map.
I believe I will keep my newfound hex and influence. rotation is irrelevant.

Ah ha, I don't have to make a new one.
You're post with the orientation, colonization, and resources isn't valid.

Oh, no. Please odn't go away. I will update as soon as you tell me rotation.
And, no, regardless of orientation you're not connected to IH.
Colonizing any?
*sigh* Now that I look at the map again I understand this: "I believe I will keep my newfound hex. rotation is irrelevant. "
And sympathies. That's a worse hex than Tapper and Khell got.
Full res and Lo res boards are up

The reason I started doing the inthread turn updates last game is a side effect of the way I found myself updating the board. I open a reply box in a separate browser window, start scrolling through the posts, and entering people's actions as I read them. Once caught up, I hit preview and use that window as the source to upgrade the graphics file. Since I was already doing a turn summary I figured I'd start posting it for everyone else to see.
Come this game, and I figured I could do the same. When you're running late or the kids are sick or whatever, It's a lot easier to find the latest update than it is to scroll through the pages to see what your fellows are up to. And, again, since I'm doing it anyway for my own reasons and I have more time than most everyone else, I thought two birds one stone.
But this isn't going to work like this. I'm updating the board from the thread. And if I'm the one making the errors in my in-thread summary, they end up in the board. I have to have you keeping track of your own resources and communicating them clearly to me.
