Can I ask, what is the advantage of retreating ships in the final round of the game? I know you must have done this because it was a sound tactic, but I don't know why.

The 1d in 1d6r stands for one die. The 6r I think stands for 6 sided die. When D'rek used this in Eclipse #2 it took forever for me to figure out what everything meant. It's not the easiest format to read.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Well good game everyone. I enjoyed playing with you all and I hope I wasn't too in your face arrogant that everyone hates me now. I know there are still some battle resolutions that need to take place but I went ahead and did my upkeep and calculated the final VP total.
Post Combat
-Influence 281 Delta Corvi, Settle Money planet and orbital with a money cube
-Influence 222 Epsilon Eridani, Settle Money Planet
Upkeep
Money: 4 bank + 28 income - 30 Upkeep = 2 banked
Science: 0 Bank + 3 income = 3 science
Material: 0 Bank + 8 Income = 8 materials
(2$/3S/8M)
Round 9 VP total: 55 (14 hexes, 15 tech, 11 Rep tiles, 1 Diplomacy tile, 4 Discovery tile, 1 Destroyer of Ancient Dreadnaught, 6 monoliths, 3 Ancient Monument)
(2$/3S/8M Upkeep -2)
Thank you Gnaw and CF for modding this game. I know this takes a lot of work to run this and this can't happen without your hard work.
I also would like to thank Tatts for going all suicidal on me. You actually forced me to work until the very end to make sure I didn't lose what I earned all those many rounds ago.
Morgoth and Solidsnape, even though things didn't go very well for you I appreciate and thank you for sticking it out until the very end.
Also, I have to give Thanks to Tapper, CF and Khell. Even though at some point you relieved me of my territories, you all played a part in my eventual victory.
And D'rek. Thank you for giving me an unexpected run for my money. A few different decisions by the three above could have seen you crowned Victor instead of yours truly. I always enjoy matching wits with you.

Well-deserved victory, twelve. Congrats!
Next game, I intend to take uber-seriously (aside from the necessary RP, of course). No more making things up as I go along. 3 moves ahead at all times and all that.

Man, nice game. Grats Twelve. Well played - you dominated the game from about round 3!
Any idea who 2nd place was? I'll plan on influencing the shellworld, and with my pillage bonus upkeep will not be an issue. If I lose against SS then I'll be static at 31 points. If I win then I'll have 34 points.
