If you're talking about what I think you are... yes I've considered it, but I can do it better next turn, with more long-term gain.

Research Tachyon Drive (if Tapper doesn't react)

That takes care of the legs.

But you're still glass. And tired.

IH locked in his no reaction.

I told you you had 3 weaknesses. Glass ships. No legs. And no Energy Source.

You have the game pretty much sewn up so you're obviously doing better than me. ;)

You should have grabbed the zero point source instead of the drive. Admittedly tachyon source is still available. But IHCF will pick first. The odds that Morgy will switch rotation so that he follows D'rek are pretty limited I would say.

So Tatts, D'rek, or Tapper will end up with the zero point. Tatts doesn't really need it because he's got that discovery source on his dread. D'rek needs computers and a tachyon source will suit her just fine.

Tapper. Tapper will be fucking deadly with that much energy to play with.

Anyone except SS see any errors in the low res images I posted a page back?

Realistically though, twelve probably isn't going to need more than 6 power... he's pretty committed to missiles, so the most energy he needs is 2/3 positron computers and a tachyon drive, which is only 6 power. Everything else can be replaced with missiles.

But does twelve really need to fight Tapper? That single-hex bottleneck between them works both ways. Twelve can just dump a ton of interceptors or starbases into there to block tapper from moving any further. Or twelve can put a slightly beefier defense that might not win against Tapper but will still whittle him down. Yeah, twelve loses that one hex, but there's several other 3VP hexes nearby that are undefended that he can easily grab to replace it. And with the traitor card, Tapper really only gains 1 VP overall from that move, so it's a huge disincentive, and it becomes far more beneficial for Tapper to go through the warp portal and attack elsewhere instead.

If you hadn't passed. *sigh*

You could still do it with reaction moves. It would be slow motion though.

No point in passing earlier after the first 2 people have passed.

Don't worry twelve, I think they're talking about Altair.

Well it would let you gain a move or two on Tats and see what he does, he has a couple of moves on you at the moment doesn't he?

Ah my young apprentice. You have much to learn in the ways of the universe. As IH points out I'm currently very commited to missiles and will have to stick with the missiles as there is zero chance I will get the improved hull or the conifold field as I will not pass first and there is only one of each left so they will not reach me. Therefore I need a back up plan to counter those with lots of hull.

Research antimatter cannons (-7 science)

I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

No as I think you built those two interceptors out of turn. I think it's back to D'rek.

Edit:

Nevermind. It looks like those builds were your 5th action so yeah it's now back to you.

He has like 4 discs left. I can't spare any more (well actually I can probably spare one because he'll kill my disc in Eta Gem). So there's not a whole lot I can do either way.

D'rek

I think I may be wrong. From his OP page those interceptor builds looks to be his 5th action not his 6th. So technically it's his go before you Pass I think.

I can never remember who went first in the round and there's no way to look it up, so I'm always mixed up about the order. But whatever.
