Hey man it required effort!

Try hiding a videotape when you live with parents and siblings.

Try using a toploading vhs videoplayer... quietly! And getting the thing to stop, eject the tape and give you time to hide the damn thing when you hear a car pull into the driveway...

Try acquiring said tapes when you can't buy them anywhere, and anything easy to find is not usually worth it.

Try acquiring magazines when they're on a top shelf, you can't buy them, and their content is nothing like the stuff available across the rest of Europe at the time (that one I got in Rome on a family holiday and hid in my case was a revelation!)

You had to be inventive back then.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

OMG yes! He was so popular, I thought I was the only one who thought this way. There was always something about him that made me feel uneasy. Conan is a ginger. Gingers seem to have that affect on people. If it was Chris Hemsworth or Jason Mamoa doing it, it would be widely accepted. In fact, look at some of Jason Mamoa's past IG posts about his role on GoT. It goes beyond being creepy and crosses the border to being rapey, but everyone loves him and his posts regardless. So yeah, I'll take Conan's harmless flirting any day.

Maybe awkward and goofy and unrefined . . .Did you watch the Israel episode when he did segments from both the Israeli side and Palestinian side of the complication there? Conan comes across as a throwback to the 60s in his sleazy/awkward flirting with female guests, it's cringe worthy and makes me uncomfortable watching him try to 'compliment' an attractive guest compared to other talk show hosts, like Kimmel or someone
