Stupid Watergate rears its head again.

The thing is, the original Watergate was already pretty stupid. This whole thing being so much stupider is just a byproduct of GOP rot, which directly led to Trump. At the same time, Obdi is absolutely correct that, unlike Nixon, DJT has all of the legislative, cultural, and media infrastructure developed in the past 45 years since Nixon to prevent that corruption from ever facing consequences again. But DJT is so stupid and so corrupt that he might even break that. At bird's eye view, it's kinda funny to see these two GOP projects come to a head, hopefully destroying each other. (Funny till you get to the judicial legacy of this admin, that is, which will outlast Trump and maybe even the GOP itself).

As far as I can tell its a uniquely american phenomenon where people believe the american government is at war with itself in the shadows. I find it hard to lend credence to the idea that the CIA is masterminding the takedown of Donald Trump. Easier to just shoot him I would guess. Still I guess I am one of the rubes that the CIA is fooling. Moreover this conspiracy requires the tacit involvement of the fbi as well? It also involves a Russian expat who is anti russian? This is bad from an american point of view why?

Now where the thread becomes too tenuous to follow is this. Crowdstrike is owned by the russian expat. The DNC asked crowdstrike to investigate their server hack. The FBI got to investigate the server image, a perfect copy of the server logs, in computer terms their is no difference. Because the Expat knows a Ukrainian we now believe the server is kept in Ukraine. Got it. So the president doesn't call on the FBI or cia (they are the enemies in the shadow war) or his state department (possible traitors?) no he taps his personal lawyer to go to ukraine and investigate this. The former attorney general of ukraine is now on record as saying he repeatedly had to tell Rudy he cant investigate biden, because he cant find any evidence of his wrongdoing. Now trump withholds 400 million dollars of military aid to Ukraine and ask for assistance as the treaty allows him to (nothing funny here). Do we believe trump has ever read this treaty? two years ago in interviews he didnt know what or where the ukraine was.

Now maybe Biden was just too clever. He very publicly, and publicly boasted about iy, removed an ukranian prosecutor (who was never investigating his son). He clevelrly got the UN, the british, and many ukranians to ask him to gelp in this endevour too. I mean thats crafty!

Well It doesn’t take a genius to look at American foreign policy and politicians. If we looked I bet we would find a redic amount of looting and profiteering by politicians and families , some done legally , but some is quite corrupt.

Laws at that level favor the powerful as a way for things to be done by the powerful to the weaker. Everyone’s got to be able to connect the dots on political appointments which result in massive profits.

That’s why the democrats are jumping on this as it uncovers crimes. A hornets nest indeed. A powder keg .. uncertain.
