Maybe this guy: 'An immigration judge recently promoted by the Trump administration allegedly threatened a 2-year-old Guatemalan boy with an attack dog in an attempt to make the kid be quiet in court

[...] threatened the boy at a hearing in March 2016 in a North Carolina courtroom. Reportedly irritated by the noise the boy was making, Couch is said to have yelled: "I have a very big dog in my office, and if you don't be quiet, he will come out and bite you! ... Want me to go get the dog? If you don't stop talking, I will bring the dog out. Do you want him to bite you?"'

Top to bottom frauds.

This is a totally separate thing from Whitefish Energy, that $300mil contract handed out to pals of then-Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Can they do that? Did they have a quorum? and if they did couldnt they have passed it regardless?

EDIT- Okay a quorum is 61 out of 120 lawmakers. It was 55 republicans and 9 democrats. I dont know the rules but I believe the smart move would have been for 4 democrats to high tail it out of the room as fast as possible, rather than have their objections on the record. I think such a tactic has been used in my country before but as I said I dont know the specific rules.

Those Republicans should be executed. That's absolutely disgusting.

Frankly their entire party should be stoned to death (that should appeal to the Christian hardliners among them) for ... a list of transgressions far too long to list here. But let's face it we know most of it anyway.

Why on earth did those nine Democrats who were present engage with the voting process, in that case?
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Because they keep taking the high road and don't realise this is street rules.

Don't see what's high road about that. It is just blatant stupidity. If it was agreed not to vote and they went ahead anyway, surely that is just backstabbing your own colleagues?

I imagine that all the democrats or republican for that matter, aren't necessarily on the same side in any given budget scenario.

They shouldn't be in a functional democracy.

I just watched a clip of the Lewandowski hearing.

https://youtu.be/uWdGNFZmE_s

How is this guy not held in contempt 2 minutes into the hearing? Why is he allowed to stall and weave like this?

How do the Democrats hope to hold impeachment hearings if they can't wrangle these lizard people?

They don't.

Sure, there are outspoken dems who cry 'IMPEACH' at every opportunity, but the big D Party... nah... no appetite for that fight, and probably smarter for it.
Best case, Trump is impeached, effectively martyred, and the entirety of the RIght screams 'conspiracy' and becomes even more antagonistic. Worse case, failure and canonization.

This tweet encapsulates how having health insurance tied so strongly to employment is a really bad thing: https://twitter.com/...2355574784?s=19

Many are. The leadership that loves those big campaign donations from big corps aren't (aka Pelosi).

There is an impeachement proceeding right now, and frankly the Democrats don't need it to succeed, because everyone knows it'll fail in the Senate, but they do need to push it as it will get people out to vote against such a corrupt government, because it makes it look like Democrats are trying to do the right thing, instead of just wringing their hands and sighing dramatically.

I'd also argue that whether or not they think. It'll pass, or if it will strengthen or weaken Trump's position, it has to be done out of principle. If they don't at least do the motions now, how can they do them ever again?

Right, they are telling their voters 'we'll fight for what is right, even if this won't work, we will still do it. We're willing to take a stand'. Which has been a problem with the Democrats, especially the corporate dems, for a while now.
