Apparently Power Trip frontman Riley Gale has died.

I'm probably showing my age here but I can't say I'd ever heard of them or him. Been a while since I was well into the metal scene though. I might look them up on youtube.
35 is too young though.

OK I just discovered this band and I don't know how to describe it but it's beautiful! Also really glad to see black women in metal! She has a phenomenal voice!

Love Oceans of Slumber. Saw them a couple of years back supporting Epica. Cammie has incredible stage presence.
I've mostly been listening to the new Mary's Blood and Unleash the Archers albums.

Different style, but another to add to the black women in metal vibe (and the album hasn't been out of the CD player in my car since it arrived...)

Jada Pinkett Smith fronts the band Wicked Wisdom. Not my thing. When I searched, the band is labeled nu-metal. I never liked that subgenre.

Shredder extraordinaire, Marty Friedman, on this one. That's worth the price of admission.

First single from Amahiru, the collaboration between Fred Leclercq (Kreator/ex-DragonForce) and SAKI (Mary's Blood/NEMOPHILA).

Alice in Chains cover on this one, which is fucking awesome. Brann Dailor on the drums. And sweet taint shiver, he is in peak form.
