lol, of all the things to miss, you pick the bits that most people hate! I also love the Aes Sedai politicking, no matter how insufferable they get. And I like the skirt-smoothing and braid-tugging because often the only emotion people show is in adjustments of their clothing, and if you're in 3rd limited you have to convey that. It's realistic. People have weird habits, too; not everyone does, but braid-tugging isn't any weirder than many of the strange habits I've seen. It's Nynaeve's way of trying to hold in her anger, trying to take it out on herself instead of others. Not that it ever helps much.
well, that goes to show how much time in the Wheel had passed since i last read them, that i'm quite alright to overlook those,
yah, i know, we all each have different mannerisms in us, that really defines us,
a bit off-topic, if you have seen Lie to Me - a TV series starring Tim Roth? the one who is Abomination in Incredible Hulk,
they have a really nice catalogue of mannerisms there that shows what emotions you are depicting and to determine if you are lying, just by a twitch of the lips, body movements, etc,
so i could forgive those on Nynaeve, what irritates me the most is the fact that many of the problems in WoT could easily have handled, if they all just communicated easily,
easy asking, like asking for the moon, that is,
It's not who I am underneath.. but what i do that defines me - Batman, Batman Begins; 'Without our deaths, sir, there would be no crime. Thus, no punishment to match,' 'Mortal Sword - '
'We are done, my friend. Now, in this manner, we choose the meaning of our deaths' - Mortal Sword Brukhalian to Veteran Nilbanas, siege of Capustan
'Ippen shinde miru (want to try dying this once) ?' - Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl)
