Finished it. I have no idea why everyone is whining about the endings. The ending I had was awesome.

I believe it is called the 'Green' ending.

Hehehe, yeah, I had a big, big "you mean bad bastard motherfucker you" moment then, too.
Wait till you get to the quarian-geth bits, as it is known that Tali and Legion are the awesomest crew members ever and the dialogue in their scenes really delivers.

@Tapper

Why do I have a sinking feeling that the Quarians decided to attack the Geth? And yeah Tali and Legion are awesome. However the best character for me was always Garrus. Seeing him and Katrina Shepard together is just heartwarming (even if there might be some chaffing). And it let Jack shoot off the line "Bite me Garrus! No wait, bite Shepard, I bet she likes it."

I finished it yesterday and now I'm sad. Not because of the ending, but because it ended! No more Mass Effect :p Sure I could, and will, replay the series but it won't be the same.

Spoiler

Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Their will be of shoots (were already getting Ipad games). Also as the gaming industry continues to mirror the movie industry expect a series reboot on the 9th generation of consoles!

I would love a Mass Effect RTS. Turians to hold the line supported by Quarian combat engineers, Krogan shock troops, Salarian STGs hardened with some Asari commandos operating behind enemy lines. Would need a new intergalactic threat though.

Fine then. If I was a 50,000 year old gigantic space ship I would build toxic bombs into my systems that I could launch through orbit that would create paralysing clouds that would blanket whole continents. Or I would use hypno mind rays from my future tech satellite disks or better yet, I would just use those flocks of insects from Mass Effect 2 that can't be fought.

But why even bouther, if all they need is organic meat to flesh out their space robot bodies, just grow it in a vat. Clone some humans or cows. It's the same issue that Matrix had. Why do they need sentient beings for food when a cow could do just as well?

I believe one of the Codex entries in the Journal explains exactly what it is that the Reapers are doing, i'll put it in spoilers for the moment:

I'm getting annoyed by all the people who seem to think you can't get all possible endings without playing multiplayer. They keep sending me to social forums instead of news articles. I know you can get all possible endings without MP because I did - but they keep telling me I can't :p

Maybe they're talking about
Spoiler
if you do the multiplayer? Cause that's the only thing I've seen about mandatory multiplayer requirements, but I remember them saying if you do enough in SP you won't strictly need MP, but pinch, salt, etc.

Also there are a lot of people pissed off about the endings.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Oh please. I did the Multiplayer (its a lot of fun) and had 100% galactic readiness. I had full military strength bar BEFORE I went to
Spoiler
and made that choice, and I still chose an ending that caused
Spoiler
because it was the 'right' one for the story.

Whiny internet bitches being whiny is nothing new. These are the same ones that claim that the day 1 dlc is actually on disc and cut out of the story and all this other bullshit.

Illy, you can do that without MP, but you would have to choose

The main thing is that it is VERY HARD, almost impossible to get 5000 EMS without MP but the only thing it affects is

Spoiler

I had 3013 EMS and got all the options except
Spoiler

The thing is - the best ending ISN'T the best ending - it's more just pandering to fans who were going to kick up a fuss over the end.

Anyways, even if I had the EMS score I still wouldn't have gotten it because the 'green option' is the best one in my opinion.

My money is on Bioware releasing DLC that will end up allowing SP to achieve the 'best ending' anyway and the whole arguement will become moot.

And come on, as far as I know you don't have to pay for MP on PS3 or PC and the Xbox game comes with 2 Days free of Xbox Live Gold so it's not like it will cost you anything to play the MP and get the best ending at least once.

So-called 'Best' ending options for ME3

Really Loki?

I had maxxed out military power before I went and dealt with the whole

and I still couldn't

. I'm pretty sure that is tied to your paragon/renegade levels since I was at 80-something paragon and the choices in the conversation with

I do think you need to have maxed/almost maxed Renegade or Paragon points to do it though.

It's too close to the games release to get any really reliable info.

I think it came as a result of someone checking the various text files/inis or whatever they are called regarding the war assets and their modifiers for taking action X or supporting person Y.
