I know. It annoys me how it's different but not original. Hell, Stephordy Mayo should have stuck with tried and tested vampires. Not this syrupy crap.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

To be honest AIJ, even had the ticks in twilight not sparkled and not daywalk, the book would still have sucked.

This is true. Even if Edward fed babies to his many vampire brides, the books would still suck. Probably because they'd break a fang trying to feed. You all know how clumsy women are!

Trying to get my girlfriend to stay away from Twilight is like trying to get the Klan to embrace affirmative action. Count your blessings friend, that one's a keeper. Tough to find young women with brains these days...

Who are you agreeing with? I haven't seen anybody agree that "Twilight books are good." Rather the opposite, actually. I do applaud you moving on and mocking Twitards, though. Your presence here denotes an at least cursory glance at the MBotF, well done.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

When a man lies he murders
Some part of the world
These are the pale deaths which
Men miscall their lives
All this I cannot bear
To witness any longer
Cannot the kingdom of salvation
Take me home

If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. One of the powerful economic demographics in North America, and one of the most retarded (the other being the 40+ lonely morons who order from infomercials.)
