So is the Matrix. Time is the worst.

The Matrix came out in 1999, so we've still got two years on that one thankfully.

Oh phew, I think I mixed that up the Matrix being old enough to vote this year.

Didn't Twister and Titanic come out 20 years ago now?

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I can't decide if I should go see GOTG2 or KING ARTHUR while my wife and daughter are out of town visiting my sister-in-law tomorrow and the next day.

One of these is certifiably great and the other is a post-Madonna Guy Ritchie movie.

Yeah, unless KING ARTHUR is the working title for Snatch 2, I think you know which one to see.

Just realized World War II and King Arthur are represented on this page. All we need is a new Robin Hood flick to fill out the trifecta of film subjects that need to die for a good century or two.

I think the Russell Crowe one was bad enough for this decade.

Oop. Never mind. There is a new Robin Hood in the works for 2018 starring Taron Egerton. Dubbed "a gritty take on the classic".

That ones sure to be a winner.

IMO King Arthur, Robin Hood, and World War II are all in need of gritty reboots.

I am a die-hard King Arthur fan...so I will eventually see the Ritchie film....but for spending money to hit the theatre, I went with GOTG2...got my tickets, going tonight!

Please, everyone knows it will never be as good as Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail... Which is the definitive Arthur work, across all mediums...

Holy hand grenade instructions still reduce me to a puddle of giggles.

Yeah I bet all the grit in the Ritchie movie doesn't make you laugh like that!

Wonder if it's a true reboot or possible Golden Army sequel with all new cast? I'm sure 1&2 are swept away with the term reboot but I'd personally love if they picked it up after GA.

I don't think you'll see this continue any of those plot lines. Not especially because Universal would not allow such a thing to be done out of their purview. They don't have the rights to HELLBOY obviously...but they will hold on to the existing two films with a death grip....so they likely can't continue them.

The working title for the reboot (which will be Rated R BTW) is HELLBOY: RISE OF THE BLOOD QUEEN. I'm not sure if it's connected....but The Queen of Blood in HELLBOY comics is Nimue (Lady of the Lake, apprentice to Merlin) greatest of all British witches...and became inordinately obsessed with the Ogdru Jahad (the Lovecraftian creatures Rasputin wants to summon in HELLBOY: SEED OF DESTRUCTION/ HELLBOY movie 1). So that fits with a reboot in my mind...This could be them beginning multi-movie adaptation of HELLBOY: THE WILD HUNT...which would be hella cool.

I'm glad we don't need another origin story for Big Red...and hopefully this will just be a straight up Hellboy in the mix story...wonder if they'll get Doug Jones to play Abe?

I have a feeling this will also be a younger Hellboy....which is the reason for David Harbour, as he is 42....while Perlman is 67. Doing this allows them a lot more films in the series if it proves successful.

Interesting piece of trivia about Hellboy - it also happens to be almost the only thing I genuinely know about Hellboy that isn't from the two movies, and yes I know as a comics fan I should rectify this - the first issue of Hellboy where it gets it's own numbering is not actually scripted by Mike Mignola, he did art and story for that issue but the actual scripting and specifically dialogue was given to John Byrne - one of those industry names that basically anyone with any interest in comics knows straight away.

I genuinely couldn't be less interested in Dunkirk or really anything related to WW2 to be completely honest, just not my cup of tea. The Arthur trailer actually looked decent, nonetheless I don't think I'll be spending money to see it at the cinema, if I want a King Arthur fix in the meantime I'll stick to The Once and Future King and the Disney Sword in the Stone lol ;)

Watched Ghostbusters, and I gotta say, I aint hating on it. I mean it has as much depth as a glass of water and I could have done without the pointless Chris Hemsworth character, but overall it was a lot of fun. A fun popcorn munching good time of a movie. And I do not understand why Leslie Jones received a lot of hate for this movie. I found her character funny and likable. I guess haters gonna hate.

One thing about the movie though, it felt like a 90s remake, it had that kind of vibe to it (not an bad thing in my opinion). Anyway, I give Ghostbusters 3 1/2 pestering ghosts out of 5 (or alternatively, 3 1/2 calamities out of 5)

She received hate because Milo is a Nazi (performative as it may in part be) and had his Nazi followers bombard her.

Yeah, duh, but I meant the hate she received here (Malazan Empire) as the movie was approaching and/or soon after it hit theaters.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Same reason.

JK JK!
I think maybe the first trailer focused so much on individual, context-less jokes it seemed like everyone -- maybe Jones especially -- was playing herself rather than an actual fully formed character. Once you see the movie, of course, it's clear all those jokes are pretty grounded.
