I had the strangest day at work. We had a senior management team building day where me and my bosses were personality tested and used the results to discuss how to better work together. Tomorrow, we lead the same type of testing and discussion with the rest of the team. The day was strange on multiple levels but ultimately boils down to "Corporate frickin bullshit". Just do the job you are paid for and talk to the people you work with. Listening to my senior management who must be paid at least twice as much as me make excuses for poor communication because they're "shy" and them expecting me to sympathise is just going too far!!!

Angry at not being able to sleep and wanting to vent, I descended onto the chat and described some of the things that have been bothering me recently. Like how shit TVTropes is and why they need either a massive rehaul and most of their user base and all their staff replaced or to be destroyed, to some detail. It got more than slightly heavy and while the discussion never got too hostile and we ended up talking about serious shit sensibly, I did sort of kill the chat dead.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isnt me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like hes me. Look down, back up, where are you? Youre in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. Whats in your hand, back at me. I have it, its an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. Im on a quorl.

working out a course schedule for this year.
taking a year off school and then coming back to first year where no scheduling was required spoiled me.

A few chapters into A Storm of Swords part 2. Filled with hate and rage. Lots of rage. I'd break something if I had anything that I didn't mind breaking.
The love I bear thee can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain.

Staring at the House of Chains Plot Summary thread, thinking of how to continue adequately. Might need to be done over all of tomorrow.

continuing this courses registration business:
I have to register on a the general, all university database. so, naturally, I go there to look up my courses to make a coherent timetable.
problem is, my faculty website posts an "updated" timetable, which as about a quarter of my courses in different timeslots. some even in different days!
I don't know who to trust, and the aforementioned student database is actually missing one of my 6 compulsory courses.
all this before I even remember that compulsories aside, all the other courses I picked are limited enrollment, and are fair game for upper year students, who get to pick their courses a day earlier... it all serves to make me quite uncertain about my future courses. and thus, fairly unhappy.

Putting out fires.
I already had four projects due by the end of the week, which would have taken me all of today and the next two days, but since other people messed up I now have three more that have to be redone before I go home Friday. I put in 10.5 hours today and I'll be working twelve or more the next two days if I want to avoid coming in on the long weekend. Had to cancel dinner with the folks tonight (who are just passing through town) and a dinner date tomorrow because of it. My stress level is absolutely nuts.

They call that guy Oscar around here
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.
