Horrible horrible day. A girl who works for me took an overdose last night. I knew she was having some personal problems but she was fine at work apart from taking an unusual amount of time off. We had a long chat yesterday afternoon as I thought I should check up on her, she seemed ok. Her flatmate who also works with us came to me in floods of tears this morning and told me she had tried to kill herself last night.

I've got a crush on a girl. She's in an on-off relationship with this other guy. The point is they've "broken" up about 4 times now. Never lasts for more than a week.
By the time I find out they broke up, their back together. This time I found out after asking her if she wanted to watch a movie after work at her place.
It's not going to happen for me, so I want to get this stuff out of my head.

Mezla, are there mental health hot lines you might refer her to? I volunteer for the VAs (Army) 5 times a month, and the majority of the folks that I counsel just want some one to LISTEN, and not judge or give opinions. My brother committed to that "permanent solution to a temporary problem" in '94, and I'm sorry you are having to shoulder such a weight. Hope it takes a better turn, and makes you stronger.

The flu I had last weekend still hasn't gone away. This is highly unusual and annoying. At least the cough is a lot better, but now my nose is runny and I'm sneezing. If I take a tablet I'll fall asleep.

Normally my colds/flus go:
1. Sore throat
2. runny nose
3. runny and blocked nose
4. blocked nose with headaches
5. chest congestion/cough
6. nose unblocks, chest clears, headaches vanish, happy days

All in 3-4 days. This one is 9 days old now. It's messing with the script and I do not approve. ;)

Man I know what you're going through, I was in the same situation until recently. Every time they would 'break up' she would call me in tears and such dramatics, and me being the sucker I am would fall for it and get a sense of hope that I have a chance with her. And sure enough in a week or so they would be back together...
You just have to convince yourself that its not gonna happen, I haven't found an easy way, especially when she still calls me and tries to get back on my good side even after I yelled at her for being a manipulative bitch. I guess my friends knocking some sense into me helped a bit ;) Just find something to keep your mind off her, but really if you had some time to reflect on what she's doing you'll get over her eventually, that's what happened to me...

Getting really uncomfortable at work with that dimwitted ugly woman who appears to have some sort of crush on me. Really fucking uncomfortable. I'm at the verge of asking to be moved to another room. Bloody hell. PISS OFF ALREADY.

It's almost like someone at work is playing some prank by telling her things that, I don't know, counter my clearly guarded, if not more like extensively hostile, expression and demeanour. Seriously, what the hell?
