There's only one instance where I would ever justify piracy / torrenting, and that's when a product is physically unavailable in your country.

And it has to be very specific in how you can't obtain it - see the fan translation of Secret of Mana 2. Never released outside of JP so it was fanslated and released on emulator and that's still the only way to get it in the west almost 25 years on.

If there was an actual release of the game where it was in English and purchasable though? I'd buy it. Otherwise I'd be telling the creators 'hey your labour is worthless omegalul'.

Oh, I agree. It's been years since I torrented anything, and even back then in my student days I didn't pretend that what I was doing was justified.

I can't tell you how much frustration I went through trying to set up a Japanese iTunes / Amazon account for the purpose of downloading music legally - but I was never able to. Thankfully CDJapan is a thing but it's long-winded and pricey as fuck (although my collection of Perfume CDs looks lovely).

Gastric bug. Urgh. I suppose it's good to be reminded what your body feels like when it's completely empty.

I feel your pain. Get better soon.

I once had some kind of super 24 hour bug. Thought I was dying, was dehydrated, had a fever, had chills, felt weak and then about 30 hours later I felt perfectly fine like the whole thing never happened.

My boy had his immunisations today and I was at work. He is now really upset and cranky and uncomfortable. I know it's for the best but he seems so miserable and I want to make him happy again.

Run her over with a pony.
Many ponies.
In fact, all of them. Carrying children.

This sadly doesn't get easier either. Each batch of Vacc's (is it every six months, I forget?) are going to produce this reaction from them sadly. It's never fun, but very needed. Our son just had his first bout the other day as well, and wife said that he was INCONSOLABLE for like an hour after, just crying crying...moreso than my daughter way back at her first appt.

They say the mom is meant to breastfeed them directly after to calm them...but he was having none of it! He was fine later in the afternoon though.

Hopefully your boy will be fine in a little while. They forget this stuff fast.

Got in from work to the news someone I vaguely knew through wider local music circles has passed away. It looks very much like he took his own life. It feels almost intrusive to be upset when I didn't know him well - he was kind to me at my first local gig in Leeds when I was much younger and very shy and feeling out of my depth, and we bumped into each other a couple of times more down the years - but it gets you thinking about the lives you brush by. A quiet drink is in order.

Tylenol the shit out of them right before taking them in for shots. It helps.

And by "the shit" I mean recommended dosage, of course.

Yeah he seems to have calmed down a lot. Not sure how frequent they are but he has another in Feb but just the one. He's been very sleepy but seems to be coming round. Thanks everyone.
