Handed my notice in (so to speak) with the falconry centre. It'd been coming for a bit, it's mostly a health choice (it's taking me longer and longer to recover and the Fibromyalgia has been spiking for months) but there were some ethical things I wasn't happy about. It's upsetting because I've enjoyed it so much, but it was starting to feel a little compromising because of ethics (people and birds) as well and that's never good. We parted on good terms and they've asked if I would mind helping with the odd bit of research, which I've said yes to, it's what I enjoy the most anyway. Does feel good to have made the decision.

Don't be silly, that's just sci fi nonsense.
...it was all the cyborg implants, wasn't it? The brain upgrades? The thing in the eyes with all the wires and that slimy green stuff for conduction? I know it wasn't the adamantium claws/beaks, because that's been around for like decades....

They were pretty shameless about ripping off some of the work with mini-lop bunnies and alpacas. And don't even get me started on the whole goldfish thing... do you have any idea how hard it is to infuse a goldfish with adamantium??? And that's BEFORE the megaladon DNA and frikkin lasers.

I’m in Barcelona, we’re hanging out with my girlfriend’s friends and it’s really fun. They’re good people. But, last night and tonight, her best friend is touching me more than she should be doing. And I don’t know whether to tell my girlfriend or not.

Relatively minor stuff, in isolation. Just, you know, brushibg my thigh with her hand when talking to me, putting her hand on my forearm, standing close enough that her body presses against mine all the time. It was just this constant, low level touching that felt to me very intentional and it made me uncomfortable.

Could just be that the whole concept of touching was ruined for Morgoth after he was caressed by the monstrous and yet surprisingly gentle hands of Macros and he just gets confused now.
