I'm pissed. Too long so in point form.

Friend was gonna take his girlfriend to kruger park this decemeber using family time share.
They broke up, so I and two mates got the invite instead
My friend races motorbikes as a hobby and broke his leg this weekend (Sunday)
We were told he will be stuck in bed for at least 6 weeks, cant fly and cant go for long drives. Was a bad break and he has a clotting disroder (Mon)
His family (dads side, moms side, they are divorced) already had plans to go to Durban in December so they were going to leave him at his grans place with a nurse.
They told us to go without him
We said we wont go on a vacation using his families timeshare (we didn't pay, just bought them a thank you gift) without him
We couldn't abandon him to be stuck in bed for an entire week bored out of his mind while we go and vacation using his timeshare

Well that brings us to today, in the same breadth they tell us that actually he will be going down to Durban on Sunday and since we said we wont be using the timeshare they gave it to his uncle. I think they screwed us over. We obviously would go if he is going to be with his entire family in Durban during the time. So now I took 6 days of leave from work for nothing (5 months to earn it back), a friend rented a car for a week for nothing.

I hope I am not being selfish here (I don't think so) but I think after we tried doing the right thing for our friend his family and him have acted selfishly and royally screwed us. I feel like if our friend wasn't going to be around, and they told us to use it without him anyway they should have honored their promise and let us take it. Unless they were just being polite before.

I feel it would have been polite to inform you he's going away with them as you expressed concern about going without him if he was going to be stuck at home. Hopefully it's really poor communication and not malice on anyone's part, but no, I don't think you're being unreasonable in being cross.

If the days off are between the 2nd and the 7th of Jan you can go watch the cricket at Newlands. If it helps at all Kruger is a billion degrees in December. It does seem that they messed you around a bit though.

Slept 41 hours(I heard 3 bathroom breaks) and would likely have slept longer as old man got frustrated and went and woke her up.

Mind blowing

Double mind blow...I just asked her how she could sleep for 2 days and she laughed and said that happens about once a week! Wtf

Is this your sister sleeping the 41 hours and doing the stuff with the multiple cats?

If so, this sounds like severe mental illness.

Uh BK, Amph has a point. This could be a pretty serious problem.

Man I could sleep for 41 hours right now, my son seems to think nights are for being awake...

But yeah I think your sister has some issues that might need looking at.

CFS or similar? Has she ever had a diagnosis?

Or maybe MDD? I know it's really difficult to get out of bed when you have SAD; can't imagine how worse it is with actual MDD.

I think Messremb has a point - could be worth a look into CFS/ME, which isn't physical rather than mental. I have it's sister condition Fibromyalgia, though not severely, which is what made my ears prick up a bit at that description.

Some complete fucking wanker has shut Gatwick down flying a drone about the runways.
Rumours of Stansted problems are surfacing too.

I am supposed to fly out of Gatwick this evening.

I want to find the C£nt that owns the drone and beat the absolute shit out of him.

A - he needs to go to jail for 20 years. And I'm not joking (and I say he, it's definitely a fucking man) he has fucked tens of thousands of people's travel plans. And endangered the lives of anyone on a plane landing at the time he was flying his fucking toy about

B - I have always said drones need to be regulated and licensed. Because this was always going to happen. I fully support a bounty system for people to shoot down drones

I suspect it's more than one drone, or more than one person with multiple drones. I realise there will be more advanced technology, but we use drones in falconry ad you're lucky if you get half an hour's life out of them without needing to recharge. In which case, it's a concerted effort to cause as much disruption as possible given the time of year and that's sickening.

Hope you can get a flight sorted Macros!

Can't disagree there! Glad you're going to be able to get where you're going, even if it's rather roundabout.

Oh, stop droning on about it.

(sorry)
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.
