Nowhere to go. No one to depend on.

And what do people today even talk about? Is it all about hoverboards and cyborg dinosaurs?

Don't worry about it. Thing is, contrary to the vast majority of the female population of the world, you're able to crack a joke. You'll get another one soon enough.

Awww, that really sucks, Grim!
Welcome to the wild single bunch. Like Brynjar, I have no doubts that by the time you want a new dude, you'll have one doing your bidding in no-time. Just keep your chin up!

You can also talk about drink, sports and the weather. Also, other people's sex lives and ninja's. Don't forget the ninja's.

Oh poor thing :apt2: Good luck with being the Lone Earthling, like myself and so many others.

I'm grumpy because my parents are quibbling about this trip I want to take next year to Africa. However, its about working with missionaries and Christian schools, so its not meant to be a holiday-but they're trying to cast into the "work hard and be rewarded" territory. Ugh.

2 things.

1) I got my first firefox browser virus. Grrr. Time to switch to Opera.

2) My dad is REMARKABLY PERSISTENT in trying to get me signed up for summer school classes (starting today, Monday). The deadline to register passed more than a week ago (almost 2 weeks), but he's adamant. And he literally won't listen to reason. And he claims it's just because he wants me to do something other than sit on my ass for the summer, but that's NOT his motivation. I told him I wanted to train for this 10K run in August every day - but he's still on the fence for some reason. And I caught him researching the professor who's teaching the class he wants me to take. And every second he spends doing so makes him more convinced of his correctness.

EDIT: 3) Nobody's in chat. :apt2:

You can't go wrong with the following conversation topics: which 3D movies were good, boobs, the "would you rather" game and what you'd do on a trip if you could go anywhere and do anything.

Do I have to talk about boobs, or is it enough that I have them?

We geek out, go on nerd rages and scare the mundanes. Discuss the best anti-borg tactics, Atomic Robo, science, sorcery mechanics; spend time with family and friends.

Nerd rages, I think I know how to do that :apt2:

I shall wear my "Time for Science" Dexter's Laboratory t-shirt, and the talking will sort itself out, hehe.

As others have said, I doubt you'll have any problem, Grim. Having a sense of humour is kind of of one of the prerequisites of a conversations, and you've got that covered.

on topic: I think i'm getting too old for my job. LAst night I came home, and literally passed out around 10 PM. and stayed that way for almost 12 hours. and that's after only 2 days of working straight, with a 5-hour nap in between. When i think back to 10-day stretches I used to do, i'm dissapointed with my current state.

Yeah, it's like hitting a wall running. LOL

I'm only 34 and as it stands now, on Monday nights I usually head home, eat, either read or watch some TV and pass out at like 9 and sleep all night. I used to be able to get up at 5:30AM, work a 10 hour shift, go home, 20 minute power nap, get up and go out with friends till like 1AM....I SO can't do that anymore. Even at a BBQ on Saturday I was wiped by 11PM....thankfully my gf is the same as me so we left early...still, feel like a crotchety bastard.

Ugh - virus?

Is it me or has there been more all-round death in 2011 (in this thread) than in previous years? :p
