Or we could act like grown ups and not go to another forum and act shitty because we think another person acted shittily.

Edit: What has become of me??? Ten years ago I'd have poured gasoline on this garbage fire. I'm disappointed in myself

There's a reason I'm not a member of any moderately active groups on fb. They're inevitably full of twats. Ban the lot of them and direct them here where the whole world can pour scorn on them.

Messing with my groove: Mrs Messremb is away tonight. For 4 days. I've got the 14 month old twins solo. Four days. Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit

Not helping is younger (yeah 1min means he's the younger) developed major separation anxiety. Yesterday. Shiiiiiii....

I disagree. We must purge the Unready. Leave them wallowing in the waters of their illiteracy.

Working on a Sunday. Cos I'm an idiot. I was massively overworked last year so in January I discussed with my manager moving some of my work to other people. She was super about it and we had a re-jig and I suddenly had time in the day to exercise and cook fresh food and tidy my house and be nice to my family and stuff. Crazy times right? So then I volunteered to lecture on an MSc program because it would increase my profile in my industry and work well into my long term goal of working for myself without needing too much extra time or having to travel far from the family. I was pretty sure that my boss would let me take the day and a half to go to the course and forgot to ask permission..... Then Brexit madness set in deep and there isn't time for me to go! Except I'm not willing to let down the people I made a promise to and if I take the time as leave then I will still have a work backlog to pick up regardless. So next week I'm just somehow working a full week AND delivering a day and a half of an MSc course. Which is why my family are out for the day and I'm sitting in my office at home.

Lesson to learn - ambition is not for this time in my life! Say no to everything for at least the next 5 years!!

Agreeing to give Continuing Education classes is one of those things that's almost a trap due to the preparation costs in terms of free time with family etc. However, it's pushed me to get better at my job.

I think you made a good decision and it's probably also a good idea to not volunteer again until you're really raring to do it.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

What the hell sort of work do you do?

Or are you the Little Mermaid?

Maybe Cause was gifted with a glass slipper? Did you take a ride in a pumpkin last night by any chance, cause?

Sorry, thought you posted the shoe thing. It's an easy mistake, you're practically the same.

I fucking hate it when i don't have time to break in new dress shoes. I inevitably have to wear them to walk - quickly, of course quickly - across the entire Toronto 'path' or Montreal underground city to get somewhere and might as well just stab myself in the feet repeatedly and save some time.

Don't even get me started on the inconvenience if a knife-fight breaks out.

I hope you don't require cryostorage, because both FedEx and DHL are an absolute pain in the backside when it comes to shipping biological samples on dry ice or lN2. Just saying. Might be worth lyophilising your Mezla clones instead so all she needs to do on arrival is add water.

Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.
