Went to see my grandfather who's been pretty sick today. He's doing a hell of a lot better. He's even chilling at home (though he has to go back to the hospital 2x a day for antibiotics), and in pretty good spirits.

A Skyrim based post

Up by Dawn star when 2 elder dragons and an ancient dragon all start attacking me. It at this point I remember, despite having done the main quest for a while, that you can summon a dragon. Were having a great big 4 dragon orgy when a giant comes up and attacks me, a frost troll attacks him and my horse attacks the troll while the dragons are coating us all in frost and flames. I love this game.

Also the joy im getting from storming a fort with the imperial legion with my dragon, horse and ghost assassin is probably not appropriate. :Oops:

Just heard about this awesome indie adventure game called Dear Esther and it's released as of Feb 14th. Obviously, I'll be busy playing the ME3 demo that day but once that's done I have every intention of giving Dear Esther a shot. I've been waiting for The Witness to be released but it has a late 2012 proposed release time so Dear Esther should be able to keep me, along with KOA:R and ME3 happy til then.


(Okay, ME3 is going to keep me happy for much longer than that but I'm trying to limit myself to one gush session a day until it is released XD )

I'm watching a doco on Ice Storms. Damn those things are awesome and terrifying! Liquid rain that is below zero in temp - awesome! Having it fall on your town - scary! Anyone willing to live in Montreal is a goddamn lunatic or has courage to spare!


Also, French Canadain accents are kinda annoying....just saying.

Edit: Perhaps it is scary because it is unfamiliar. Watching one on firestorms now and it isn't as scary to me given i grew up with bushfires. I mean firestorms are scary as hell but at least i'd have experience to fall back on. with an icestorm i'd be working off commonsense only and open to overlook something important.

Saw the new Sherlock Holmes movie last night with my sweetie; we had dinner at Ahmets, this fantastic Turkish restaurant in South Bank, and we caught the CityCat ferry home at 10pm, sitting out on the deck in the cool breeze off the river. SO NICE :unsure:
