Saw the new Sherlock Holmes movie last night with my sweetie; we had dinner at Ahmets, this fantastic Turkish restaurant in South Bank, and we caught the CityCat ferry home at 10pm, sitting out on the deck in the cool breeze off the river. SO NICE

Wait, Exeter England? That's like an hour by train from me! I can visit and grant you the joy of an Illy visit and you and your dude can buy me all the drinks in the world! I CONDONE THIS LIFE CHOICE
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Just got back from a 3 hour walk. Fun stuff. Went westward instead of south or east. Found a nice long linear park along the river. Then on the way back I found a path, that I later learned was incomplete. This lead to a very interesting 10 minutes getting through a highway interchange (exits, on-ramps, general road confusion) system on foot running from safe spot to safe spot. Luckily there wasn't much traffic at this time of day and it was off the main highway.
Good time all around.

NEW. LAPTOP.

WITH HINGES THAT ACTUALLY WORK. AND ZOMG THE SIZE OF THE SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!! 15" after 11" for the past two years is like going to freaking 24". XD And it's glorious, proper high-def.

Downsides: getting all my old stuff (namely, lots and lots of media content) onto the new laptop. Even with USB3.0, it's gonna be a long while. :S

Got the promotion. Nice. It will be great to actually see my wife every day since my hours will be changing to a normal schedule, but my inner child will miss working from 4 to midnight.

I am indeed! It's not a perfect game but it has something that a lot of the better reviewed games fail to have - an overwhelming ability to be purely enjoyable to play!

I'm going back home for my Daddy's 60th birthday next week Wednesday, naturally there will be lots of feasting and merry-making, relatives dropping by and all (imagine Bilbo Baggins birthday party); I'll spend a day or so at work with my sister who is a big animal vet and I'll tag along when she goes to see the patients on the farms- carrying her black leather satchel after her with the instruments to examine cows' bums and all that; then one more epic session of RPG: last time we had to stop in the middle of a fight against Tanar'ri demons, one of which our conjurer of cheap tricks successfully banned to the Abyss from whence it came, and my priestly Protection from Fiends sphere pissed another one off mightily and we will reap the fruit of his anger in the next session (read, we are all gonna die in this friggin dungeon, DM promise) plus this very wizard ain't gonna be around due to birthing issues (not him, his wife is due just about then, but he may be able to sneak out) and then one day with my brother and ..... SKYRIM!!!! wohooooooo!!!! Starting next Wednesday. It will be a good week. Bring it oooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!

X Play gave it a 2.5/5. Im waiting to see what Game Informer gives it when my Brother N Law gets the newest issue in the mail.

Game Informer review is up on their website, and I'm really enjoying the game a lot as well. Everyone is comparing it to Skyrim and saing 'it isn't open world, boo hoo'. I was unaware I needed another open world game, but w/e.

It is certainly better than 2.5/5.

Got my first 60 minutes in, speccing partly rogue, partly mage. I like how you can build your combos with simple press and hold, but I am somewhat dismayed how much influence weapon damage has on abilities; my best daggers broke down to 1/20 and when I switched to my back-up pair, I suddenly was a whole lot less hunter and a whole lot more prey.
