Spent the whole day out with another friend I made recently, and she showed me this wonderful little pub in Brunswick, with cool upstairs rooms with couches, armchairs, etc. I intend to go back :D

It was nice to get out of the house too, so today was pree darn gud.

Mrs. QT just told me she woke up at 7:45AM this morning to make us pulled pork for sandwiches in the slow cooker, and the side dish is french fries.

I am SO EXCITED for dinner now!

Also, there will be wine.

My roomie got a record player for christmas and got me into buying vinyls. Today I got: Picaresque by The Decemberists, Sigh No More by Mumford and Sons, and he bought me Waiter: You Vultures! by Portugal. The Man as a surprise gift. I'm really psyched over this whole vinyl thing.

American Harvest Vodka.

Spectacular.

Best American vodka I've ever tasted by far.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

And so, it's meh?

Making me happy is the Bake-Off 2, Electric Boogaloo tomorrow.

I will be making the classic: Chocolate Chip Cookies, and everyone else will be culled like the chaff they are. However, it's the primary happiness factor that I get to see a bunch of awesome people.

I arrived back home today, am all unpacked and to top it all off, managed to get my replica LotR metal sword through customs. A fitting end to an awesome holiday.

Holy fuck, I checked my email today, and scored the opportunity of a lifetime.

I'm not exaggerating.

A preposterously Elite School in San Francisco is looking for a temporary Science/Biology teacher for the next school year. And they're looking for replacements through the Princeton network, of which I am not a member, but my Ex decided that she'd back me for the position if I applied (and I'm not the BEST qualified candidate), and I am super fucking psyched. My resume will go out probably on Monday (after I get my super-type-A mother to review my application, just to be sure).

Spectacular.

By the same guy who designed Grey Goose, and it's better.

Restarted DE:HR and with some advice from forum members, improved my hacking immediately. The game is much more accessible/ enjoyable than before and while its still not grabbing me its not a bad game.

My youngest brother just asked me what the famous quote from Gough Whitlam was.

I told him it was -

'Ladies and gentlemen', he writes it down, 'may we say', writes it down, "Quick Ben Save the Queen", he writes it down. 'because nothing will save the Governor-General', he writes it down.

He reads over it - '*mumble* may we say *mumble* Quick Ben save the......HANG ON!!! That's not it!'

'You're right, it should say 'well may we say.' :D

MY ex emailed me (not the ones that I hate and don't talk to me, the one that I'm still talking to and jealous of the man she's marrying) the greatest fucking job opportunity ever.

It's my dream-position at the moment. It's a part-time (2 days a week) position at an absurdly prestigious highschool in San Francisco teaching science and biology. And though they're looking for a Princeton alumnus (which is how she got the lead) I've got 2 alumni willing to write me letters of rec, and I'm willing to commute and take as little pay as they offer.

I'm super psyched, and I'm putting in my resume tomorrow (after I get my mother, type A corporate SuperBitch to review it).

EDIT: IN RETURN FOR HELPING MY FRIEND MOVE IN TO HIS NEW APARTMENT, HE GAVE ME HIS OLD ELECTRIC GUITAR. IT'S A MOTHERFUCKING GIBSON.
