I'm not sure whether I am happy or it is messing with my groove.... I am moving to San Francisco in less than 2 weeks and am equally excited and terrified.

The last operational Vulcan bomber in the UK is currently doing a tour of airshows around the country before being retired at the end of the year.
It just flew over our back garden. That was INCREDIBLE!

I went to see it do a fly over at Sunderland a few months back, where there's a grounded Vulcan.
Impressive.
Just polished off a bowl of clotted cream ice cream with pecans and toffee sauce. Lovely!!

Not the one I saw then. I'll have to go back and take a look. It was this huge hardbound monstrosity
You'll have to let me know what it is - "hardbound monstrosity" is a great sales tactic with me!

Be excited now, be terrified when you write your rent/mortgage check.

Is this the thread for when you read about David Cameron making that first Black Mirror episode come true?

I'm going to Boston on Thursday for a synthetic biology conference - and I just found out I don't have to present. Which is great, because I loathe public speaking. So now I can just enjoy myself. Any suggestions for Boston from those who've been?

You're going to be very close to the downtown/wharf area if you're staying in the hotels near where that synthetic bio thing is happening.
The Boston aquarium is a tourist destination - but it's also really good.
I strongly recommend going to the Museum of Fine Arts, which is going away from the downtown/wharf area, but not far by public transportation (20 min).
In terms of good eats or bars, I don't know the downtown area at all. You are probably better off going with your connects at the conference to wherever they go.
There's no Red Sox game in town that day and the Bruins haven't started up yet either.
Be prepared for chilly weather that suddenly swings to temperate.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

New job, full benefits, and has nothing to do with my degrees!
So ecstatic and nervous to start I feel like I'm a 1L again!
Yaaaaaaaaaaay! Student loans here I come, kinda, maybe, well probably not, but nevertheless!

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I don't know enough about sports to know if that's a good or a bad idea. That's hockey right?

Don't worry. Those interesting people will teach you all you need to know about wrestling, boxing, and various other of the more physical sports.

I've gained a great deal of strength back in my body from my seizure Sunday morning and have had almost no headache today. It's crazy how weak your body gets from even a very light one.
I would be worried about these seizures. Do you know why they happen?
