Awesome! Christian Bale is quacktastic, I agree.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Oh Lordy! The complainer in me wants to say that Bale's spreading himself around too much, but this can only be good...well, it better be.

Looks like it will be a good one. Hopefully a better teaser will be released soon.

Wow...that's an exceedingly short trailer. I agree about Bale risking becoming overexposed...

Bale = goodness. But what about the Governator? You can't have a Terminator movie without him! Maybe the people of Caaaaahlifornia gave him some time off to do the pic?
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Will he have to ask Maria for permission first?

Bale being over exposed? that's stupid. He's an actor, he acts in movies. That's what he does.

On topic: I have a huge erection for this movie. Although John Connor has always been a pussy, and Bale is no pussy.

I love Christian Bale! He will make the movie less craptastic, for sure. He's a great actor for one thing. ;)

As someone has pointed out before, this film will chronicle the epic struggle of Good vs Evil, or more precisely: Bale vs McG.

One is amazing. The other directed Charlie's Angels and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

It's going to be a close one. And we have to wait a year to discover the outcome ;)

Wiki says that the producer says the TV show is an alternate timeline. So expect no connection at all.

While I was driving in my ridiculously small car a few hours ago, the voices in my head (the radio was on) told me, that yet another muscle-packed austrian will play the Terminator.

WHY? Why, for the love of god, are they going to do the same mistake again and again? And here I thought that maybe in the fourth installation of this franchise there would be a chance not to ruin a good idea with actors barely capable of speaking. I still hope, that the above mentioned austrian body-builder-"actor" has no lines to say. Fingers crossed.

Additionally: I simply cannot be worse than part III.

I tink that actors that cant speak are best.

One of my gripes with the TV series is how often the terminators, emotionless killing machines, deliver these corny one liners.

I would correct that to "actors that can't and therefore don't speak are the best". It applies to Arnie in the first Terminator. After that he tried to speak and we all know the result. Just gives me the shivers to listen to him speaking english. The dubbed version in german actually is watchable.

I re-watched part 3 last night. It was absolutely dreadful.

I mean, the director had the Terminator (once again: THE GOD-DAMN TERMINATOR) say, "Talk to the hand."

How did that even make it to the second draft of the script?

That is, for the love of god, beyond any reasonable person in the whole wide world. It was just a popcorn-flick of the worst sort and had nothing of the dark grittiness of the first two parts. Jesus, just remember the pink star-shaped sun-glasses. It's the friggin' TERMINATOR!

Let us hope that they don't blow the upcoming part. Bale gives reason to hope.
