Oh god don't get me started on that. Just when the T-X fires her laser cannon thing, what should just HAPPEN to drive past at that exact moment?

Why, yes! A big old truck carrying bottles of compressed, explosive gas!

T3 was shit. Such a letdown from T2. You can't get too jokey with the terminator.

T3 was awful, had me shivering in horror at the absolute wrongness :(

However Salvation here looks interesting, hope its not a big let down!

WHY? Why, for the love of god, are they going to do the same mistake again and again? And here I thought that maybe in the fourth installation of this franchise there would be a chance not to ruin a good idea with actors barely capable of speaking. I still hope, that the above mentioned austrian body-builder-"actor" has no lines to say. Fingers crossed.

But that's sort of the point. The terminators aren't supposed to be emphatic.

That was one of the flaws of the terminator film that must not be mentioned, where both boobrobot and Arnold were constantly smiling or grimacing and making jokes and what ever. What a load of bullshit, arnold and policeliquid robot did a much better job in the first films were they only show emotion when it's a means to fool humans.

Just bored and on the train (I love free train WiFi) reading this months edition of Empire magazine. There is a piece on Salvation, a picture of Christain Bale with a BFG and a Terminator crushed under a helicopter. And I quote "we will at last see the primative T-600s referred to in the first film by Kyle Reese, describing them as "eight-foot-tall killers that prowl the badlands looking for anthing with a heartbeat to terminate" ". The director also reveals his mission statement "Our idea is to give it the look of Children of Men but the velocity of Transformers". Well, it probably won't live up to my expectations but I'm going to enjoy looking forward to it.

It'll only be good if they give it the look of Star Wars and the velocity of Star Wars.

Prequels, damn it! Prequels!

Another train journey, another edition of Empire magazine, more Salvation rumours: Bale has been spotted meeting Arnie. Rumours abound that the Governator is going to make an appearance in the movie. Either with his face CGI'd onto a professional Arnie impersonators body (a la how they did Christopher Lee's fights in Star Wars) or as the creator of the T-800 which he models on himself.......

Otherwise, a teaser trailer that they write about says that John Connor says something about changes in the time line that his mother didn't anticipate.

So there you go.

Christian Bale makes me proud to be Welsh :) woop!

i hope i hope i hope arnies in it!! T3 was such a bag of ball sacks that this one needs to be special (esp considering the tv show is pretty dam good!), and arnie cgi'd as the terminator he sends back would be immense! even tho i'd no it was cgi, i'd still be too happy!

As this film gets closer, I am getting soooooooo excited reading all the interviews and hype! I don't think I have been as excited about a movie since.......I don't know when! I remember after seeing the first movie thinking how cool a film set in the post-nuclear future would be. The problem being, I know I am getting too optimistic about it and I need to dial down my expectation levels in order to enjoy it. BUT I CAN'T!!!!

And after a thread re-read, my take on T3 after catching the second half of it on tv the other day - too much comedy but otherwise, reasonably decent popcorn flick. Nowhere near the levels of T1 and T2 but the ending saved it from being totally lame.

Well done, sir. Well done, indeed.

Mez obviously wasn't fighting in the shade (according to her fake tan).
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

That's a beaut!!!! Although, guessing the film that is taken from, he's going to kill me horribly in a minute.

Everyone who doesn't know what Mezles looks like is having a massive WTF moment now. My first thought was " I don't remember taking my shirt off at the last meet up" but then I looked closer an realised that I'd never let my forearms atrophy to such a degree....

New Trailer, make sure you watch it in HD. It looks so incredibly awesome. From the setting, the characters, the story. Marcus Wright? Fucking insane! That whole story thread alone has me so pumped for this movie.

I was never sure about McG, but I've come to believe he knows his shit and the movie is in safe hands.

And as always, my swelling for Christian Bale only grows larger.
