Not usually into shows starring children, but Sweet Tooth was pretty good, for a relatively short first season.

It actually made American football seem exciting.

Decided to give another pandemic show a try---Amazon's Utopia. Some of the conceits are nice---maybe lifted from the BBC series?---plot not bad, but something about the acting, cinematography, and the way it all comes together just doesn't seem to work. Directing fail maybe. The art for the graphic novel is okay. At the end of each episode I do find myself wanting to know what happens next... though knowing it was canceled after one season, the mysteries never to be resolved, puts a bit of a damper on that desire. Overall, probably would not recommend, though I'll probably slog on through, and I might give the BBC series a try some day.

Brooklyn 99 dealt with BLM, bad cops and covid all in one episode. I guess they had to but I hope they lighten up and increase the comedy in subsequent episodes

Tried to watch Kevin Can F**k Himself. Nope, dipped out after episode 3. Had some expectations for it because it stars the sister/daughter from Schitt's Creek. The concept sets it apart - sitcom, colorful, laugh track, jokes when Kevin is in the scene. Then dark and depressing when wife (Schitt's Creek actress) is brooding over miserable life and plotting. I thought it was going to be something interesting to watch develop, but nope.

Dang it, Dave went and did it. That second season final episode had to get me all misty eyed. A damn near perfect season. Would have loved to binge it, because each episode seamlessly feeds the next, building towards and perfectly landing at that finale. #chef's-kiss

Very much enjoying DARK but something is bothering me slightly...

Spoiler

Not a major thing, and no doubt is tackled or at least has a simple enough explanation, but something that is sticking in my head as I'm watching.

Anyways, 2 episodes to go in season 1.

Giving a strong recommendation for Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens. Season 2 starts this Wednesday. You really should check it out.

Sweet, I flipping love those graphic novels!

I see it's exclusively on Hulu so I guess I won't be watching it then...

I binged the Paramount+ version of The Stand: not great, folks!
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I'm two eps in just figuring it out, that's not good news at all!

I'll stick it out as I'm interested to see where it goes, they couldn't have timed the shows release any better with the covid situation that's for sure.

Yeah same. The trailer looked... Fine but nothing ground breaking. I want to watch it though, enjoying the source material as much as I do.

Anyways, 2 episodes to go in season 1.

Finished season 1! You guys were right this is some fine TV. I wish my German was better as I'd love to watch it without voiceover.

I've had to keep the Wikipedia page for the series close to hand to assist in understanding bits and I have no idea where it will go now! Similarly I have no clue what Noah is planning.

Definitely in for the rest of the show! Glad they were allowed to finish it as intended.

I did a performance poetry show with him in the early 2000s. Remember him blasting Tupac on his headphones (almost?) every time we were waiting to go into the performance space.
