Yeah, that is Cadsuane. So far her role has been reminding Rand that he's still puts his pants on 1 leg at a time.

RLY, read book 11. Book 10 was the biggest disappointment for me. 11 got some stuff done.

Frankly, after getting the triple marriage thing from Jordan, I was half-expecting a rand-elayne-morraine threeway.

Hoping for something like this is all that's keeping me going through the rough patches. (Such as books 5 through 10.)

After "Lord of the Rings" Jordan was the first fantasy author I read. Fortunately, for me 9 books in the series had already been written. So anyway, I like him because he helped to get me hooked on the genre.

I actually was fine with most of the books. Ten was bad, but I did enjoy seven a lot. There is no question 6-10 drag a bit, and I know Jordan was accused of stalling the story to make more money. (Especially the case in ten, where I think it covered a single day).

However, I still feel a lot of the venom directed at books 6-10 are because people waited so long for them to be released and they weren't quite as good. The books read straight through, didn't seem that bad. I would be interested to see if some of you guys who are reading it straight through for the first time feel the same way I did. Also, everyone told me those books were terrible before I read them. It was comparable to someone telling you a movie was horrible, and then watching it and being pleasantly suprised because it wasn't as bad as you thought it would be.

Although, I will admit, I did become extremely tired of Aes Sedai who's names started with A's, M's, and S's. How in the world could anyone possibly keep all those names straight?

I would be all for this as well. Someone needs to write Sanderson and ask him to sneak it in the last book. However, I think he's a Mormon guy, so I don't know if he'll bite on that.

I didn't say I wanted to see that happen, I was saying with Jordan pushing his personal fantasies into the series, I wouldn't have been suprised to see it happening.

My favorite oddity from WoT was how most of the women had nice perky breasts.

That and how there were over 20,000 "wise" sayings on explaining how women and men were different.

One of the things that bugs me is how it seems like he realized that ALL of his female characters were identical, so he added one trait to each of them in a half-hearted attempt to make them stand apart.. (FAIL, btw.) Every woman is exactly the same, but this one always has sayings related to fish, this one is obsessed with stout woolen clothing, this one has a lot of piercings, this one is taller than average, this one has a different amount of warders than is customary for her ajah, and so on and so forth. Weak.

Agreed, and the desperation in his attempts to reach Saidan was some great writing. The battle of Dumai's Wells was great.

WoT has great moments, it's just the pointless side plots that drive me crazy.

I know, I thought it was funny, I was joking as well. I don't really think anyone should send Sanderson a note asking him to include a threesome.

Too late.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I wonder how many pages the final book will be? I just can't see it all being tied up in one book.

I've heard that the final book will be 1500 pages long, but finished bu an author that I've never read before. it should be interesting, especially since RJ pulled out of the swamps that where Winter's heart and Crossroads of twilight with Knife of dreams. it was the best in a long line of rising action books that RJ wrote.
Just a comment.

Rand's character is at times amazing and at other times so aggravating that I can't stand to read about him anymore. Perrin really pisses me off and Mat is my favorite of the trio.
