Is there any Tiste/Draconean Ascendant that may want revenge on Quick for his attack on the sisters?

Osserc Possible, I think he was related to them, father or something...

if he even still gives a damn about his rotten children.

I rather got the impression that most Ascendants thought they were dicks and would be happy to see them go. Draconus, Envy and Spite might be exceptions though.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

The above overlooks that QB also has a link to Hood. It was established in MoI and freaked Bottle out in TB. I still hold to my theory that Hood hoodwinked (sorry) QB and while it seemed Talamananarama becamse the Magi of HHDeath, it was actually QB.

That said, he had ample time to prep his 12 souls/warrens etc powered welcome for the 3 sisters and he hit them HARD. Now if all three had taken a second, gathered their wits and hit back, chances are good that even if some of them boughtt it, QB and Hedge would have been in trouble.

Instead, Sheltana bit Menandore's head off, leaving her open to Hedge's cusser and Sukul, seeing the mess in progress, fncked off after the finnest.

So it's not all about QB's power level - it's also about the rifts between the sisters and QB being able to prep a damn effective ambush.

If this whole thing had amounted to just a face-to-face throw down, it would have likely been different.

Prep time is key - in MoI, given time, QB took out a company or two of Pannions by himself, but he needed Paran's help against one demon-vulture.

Also, if he exhausts himself initially and his opponent inconveniently doesn't drop, he's in trouble - see his weaker state after taking down Broach and Bauchelain in MoI, and when Iccy came around for the sixth time or so in TB.

- Abyss, preps a great ambush martini.

Additionally, QB used his magic to amplify actual physical attacks against the sisters with his ginormous earth-lifting smackdown maneuver. I'd be willing to bet that them dragons are better at defending against a straight-forward magical assault then they are at countering a massive physical slapping.

and my bet on QB's soletaken form is the Master Hand from Smash Bros...

I'm betting that we are talking absolute horseshit here...
but something has to be discussed when there is no prologue...

your right, im sure the last thing they were expecting was the ground to come up and punch them in the teeth.

Good point. I hadn't considered Osseric either. There have to be SOME of that family that care for one another. Of course my sneaking suspicion is that Osseric and Rake truly have a kinship...they just fight like brothers...a lot.

I could see them allying if they had to.

Osserc is Father Light. That is why Rake and Osserc fight. It's father and son.

After he knocked them to the ground, he knocked them around with pure force as Gothos said on the first page.

Quote

recall as well that he was blasting Sukul with simple surges of power once they went down, power that was enough to send her flying across the field.

I'm pretty sure that counts as a magical assault, rather than a massive physical slapping. Now, this does of course take place after his initial physical assault, but it just goes to show that magic can still smack them around. Hard.

We don't know that for sure do we? I got the feeling more like they were Cousins...or even Brothers. Yes I know supposedly Rake only has Andarist and Silchas...but you never know.

Also, Apt doesn't the Draconean Family Tree say that Rake, Andarist and Silchas had "no father"?

That tree has been stated to be Baruk's best guess, and have some errors. There are two more family trees that we haven't seen yet, as well.

Ah I see. I forgot about that, thanks.

Yeah and we know so little. Did the Liosan have their own family of "champions" other than Osseric? Did they vanish like the Edur line?

Well, if Rake was born without a father and Osric is Father Light they would be brothers after all.

I believe the footnotes on Baruk's Draconean Family tree said Anomander, Andarist, and Silchas have no father, and that Osserc has no mother. Osserc's dad was Father Light. But of course Baruk was only guessing

The confusion typically comes up because the Liosan and/or someone else call Osserc as Father Light, while Baruk's tree says he's the SON of FL. Throw in Udinaas' challenges to the myths in RG and the only thing we can count on is that we don't really know.

Yeah Reaper's Gale told us that the Tiste story is even more of a complete mess than we thought. I think Osseric has made a comment or two that Mother Dark's first children were NOT Tiste Andii...anybody remember that and can quote it?

I think Osseric and Rake are brothers personally.
