I know I am into some pretty mental stuff, but this surely tops them all for pure cross-genre craziness. Only found out about Igorrr today and I absolutely LOVE them. Saying that they're not for everyone is a huge understatement, but the sheer insanity of the mix of styles, tempos and who knows what else is brilliant!

Erm I'm afraid to listen, what's this mix of styles?

On another note, getting my Bloodstock ticket soon, second time this year after the absolute awesomeness that was last year, hopefully my brother is able to come this year as well. Amon Amarth, Blind Guardian, Testament, Megadave :D, Annihilator, Decapitated, Kreator, Hatebreed, Havok, Municipal Waste and Obituary plus Skindred and Arch Enemy who I'm not to fussed about but might be cool to see live and that's all just on the main stage. Should be awesome :(

Hopefully seeing Max and Iggor Cavalera play the Roots album in full at the Forum in December as well, supported by Overkill.

Seeing Dragonforce in October as well... :D

Whoa. This one is pretty good.

It's not really scary at all. It's like the playful spirit of SOAD with a wider variety of stylistic inputs, and it's in French so you don't have to care if the lyrics are awful. I don't really like a lot of it (I just got to a dubstep/metal song called "Robert" =/ for instance) but it's definitely not the same ol same ol.

Skindred are one of the best live acts I've ever seen (and I've now seen them about 3 or 4 times) you should have a lot of fun with them!

Do I have a jazz recommendation coming my way? You've been solid with that so far (I now have a couple of Helge Lien Trio albums on record!)

Pure chilled bliss. Put this on in the background of a lazy night in. :D

@WinterPhoenix
Damn, Obituary are still around? Hopefully they play this old classic: :(

Yeah they've been around since like 1984 I think, a few member changes on drums and lead guitar I think, but yeah they've been going solid for ages now. I've seen them twice before, co-headlining with Exodus last October at the Electric Ballroom in Camden and in 2015 with Carcass and Napalm Death at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town , they're pretty awesome live. Actually that band Overkill I mentioned above have been going since 1980 as well I think, they're like the first ever Thrash band basically.

Always! Have you tried out Island Songs by Olafur Arnalds? Helge Lien Trio is out with a new album too.

Or if you want something altogether different I've been listening quite a bit to The Bright Mississippi by Allen Toussaint. And to Atlantis by Elephant9. Elephant9 is not everyones taste, but try out Psychedelic Backfire or Dodovoodo as a good starting song to see if you like it.

Wow, did you guys know the actor from Star Wars Rogue One and The Night Of was multi talented?

I want to rock this at a Trump rally wearing a cap that says "Make America Halal Again". See if any of those mouth breathers would take a swipe at me.

I knew he had the group with Heems but this is the first time I'm hearing them. Pretty great.

Mellow, great for decompressing after a stressful day, or if you are just in a reflective mood.

I don't really even like NIN.

But secretly I really do, so I lead with that qualifier so I have an "out" when all the cool kids, who don't think NIN are cool anymore, come here to make fun of me.

Anyway, you may like to let these vibrations tickle your ear drums.

Heard this on Roman Mars side project podcast "What Trump Can Teach Us About Con Law", and it's damned fine!

That voice sounded very familiar so I Googled "Shredders rap" and this is what came up.

So that was awesome.

But then I just clicked the link to your video and it turns out the rapper in Shredders is P.O.S. and I was like duhhhhhh. Hence the "side project" angle.

Shredders just appeared a few days ago, they consist of rappers Sims and P.O.S and producents Lazerbeak and Paper Tiger, all of them members of Doomtree

Yeah it rocks

I suggest you check out DTR stuff too, No Kings, All Hands are their newest and imo finest albums. Then there's everyone's solo stuff... I've just been to Sims's concert in Prague in April, awesome.

Worry what hiphop artists do you listen to besides RTJ, Aesop and P.O.S? I assume you're familiar with Rhymesayers

I'm familiar with some of Rhymesayers yah, but I don't really keep up with a lot of new music generally. I have unfortunately become a nostalgist. That said, there's a few other current folks who I look out for. Shabazz Palaces. Danny Brown. Schoolboy Q.

Not a fan I got to say, but it's probably going to be Billboard's "song of the summer". It has that international appeal that, once it gets steamrolling, can't be stopped (you'll hear it at every soccer/futbol match from now until the the late Autumn). I hear it every time I turn on the radio. And believe me guys, getting the song of the summer is huge.

I like them both equally. They evoke different feelings though.

That said, neither beats the master:
