I've just started scanning through the materials...wow, they really went all out on the expansion content didn't they? Glad I've got a few days to reacquaint myself with the game and then get my brain melted by the new stuff.

Thanks D'rek for putting all this together, it seems like a ton of work. And thanks for the invite, too. It'll be really nice to get back into playing with you guys. Although I was also really busy the last few months with work, the main reason I took a leave of absence from the forum (and most other things) is because my mum fell really ill (cancer, which also left her bedridden). My sister and I essentially became full-time carers over the summer, until our mum died suddenly just before my teaching term was due to start in the autumn. So we've been trying to sort out her affairs the last few months while also attempting to get our own lives back on track.

So that's my story! Sorry for the unload, I'm mainly just trying to get Morghy and Tatts to feel like they have to take it easy on me while I gain control of the galaxy (are we even still trying to gain control of the galaxy?).

Yes, Creuss can just move there right away with their agent, or place a gamma wormhole token on the board the same way they put alpha/beta WHs on.

Otherwise, you have to wait for a gamma wormhole to be added to the map via either exploring a cultural planet, exploring a Frontier token, or the nexus sovereignty agenda popping up.

I'm very excited. The leader additions (agents, commanders, one-time use heroes!) are what I'm really intrigued by and how much they'll affect or change the game. The mechs less so, but it's nice to have another combat addition. I like that exploring is now more involved too and could reveal some great surprises. And I like how the designers seem to have taken the approach of, "well, these races seem quite strong, but instead of nerfing them, let's make everyone else more crazy too!" Of the new races, the Nomad initially intrigues me the most. The Titans strike me as potentially really strong.

There's one bit that I still don't understand - capture for fighters and ground forces. I get it for the other units, but for these it says you return them to the reinforcements, but then place your own equivalent on your faction sheet, until an ability returns them...but whose ability? I mean, those are now your forces you've put on your own faction sheet, so...I'm so confused I don't even know how to finish this sentence. And what's the supply and how is it different from the reinforcements?

I want to know about your last game, seems that it was really close judging by the points!

Are we going for 10VP? In the expansion rulebook it suggests if you're playing with 6 players then go for 14VP - but yeah, that may take too long with forum play?
