TI4 Game 7 Sign-ups

New year, new expansion, new game!

Mod: Moi
Start Date: Aiming for January 11th (we still need to collect some expansion components and it'll take a bit to setup)
Goal: 10 VP game
Content: all Omega/Codex and all PoK content included

Map Setup: Mod-made. No special theme, but I'll lean more towards using PoK hexes than original hexes and force all legendary planets to be included so we get to see more of the new stuff. If we're not 6 players, will use hyperlanes for a balanced layout. Map will be revealed before seat/faction setup.

Seat/faction/speaker setup: Randomized starting spots, then each player sends me a list of their most preferred factions. If no one else picks the same faction, you get it. If multiple players want the same faction, one randomly gets it and the rest get their 2nd choice (and so on). Speaker is randomly chosen after all factions are picked.

Hmm. Not that I think anyone would *actually* do this, but I don't want to give the opportunity for anyone to game the system (like, you remember Blend saying he wanted to try Titans in last game's chat thread so you purposefully put Titans as your first pick and your real preference as 2nd pick in the hopes of getting the speaker token and your 2nd pick, sort of thing).

Just finished building the top part of my new gaming table with my Dad. Would be perfect for some tabletop TI4!!

I had permissions set to restricted, it is updated now so whoever asked for access (I am thinking maybe Drek given the email address), you should be able to access it now!

Well it is a coffee table rather than a full table, so a bit smaller than I would have gone had I had enough space. As it stands, the centre play area is 50"x30" with the cup holders going out an additional 5.5" all around the table and the fold out little desk areas folding out to 11". It is still pretty big but should fit my space perfectly

Tomorrow we have some finishing touches on the top, then we have to build the structure it will sit on, then I will be staining the table itself ebony and painting the play area with chalkboard paint and drawing a grid on it with silver sharpie so it can be used to draw D&D maps.

Built mostly out of Red Oak, with a few bits of pine 2x4s for unseen structure and MDF for the play area

Really good, something I couldn't have as I don't host or go to anything quite like what you're talking about. The closest I get is a poker night, we will sit around a table then.

Are the cup holders for drinks or for dice cups?

Looks awesome. With the fold out play areas you probably just about have enough space for real life TI4, it's a big beast!

One day I'm going to get my self something similar (after covid when I can actually get people round to play)

I've just spent the last few hours reading up on the new stuff. It's crazy, I'm excited to play all of the new factions and all the old ones. Now the problem is going to be picking!
