I often find a fox at the same time as I get the standoff option - so he patiently waits while I cut them all up.
I dont know why but I keep screwing up the stand-off, it's so simple too.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I screw up the stand off infrequently, but it still happens. It mixes things up though, so not disappointed. The enemies really get confidence. I have the upgrade to kill two additional enemies that rush in when you nail it and that is so much fun. You have to time it when they swing but really easy to pull off. I've met small bands on the road and taken them all out. Maybe there will be an archer left and I summarily take care of him with my bow.
The story through defending Yarikawa was pretty flippin' badass. Straight up GoT (Game of Thrones) <<<<< see what I did there? From the night before getting drunk to the battle. One of my favorite missions in any open world game.

Did you guys ever find "Gyozen's Blindfold"? Imagine how terrifying that would be. To come up against a samurai who was wearing that. And then he activated "ghost stance." I would brown my whites for sure. I don't think they make shittin' pants for that situation.

It's what it says in the name... .a blindfold. The golden bird led me to it. I forget where now precisly but I think it was either at the top of a temple or one of the Light House locations where you light the fire. It was high up, but I can't recall if I used my grapple hook (temple) or just climbed to the top via ladder (Lighthouse).
I think it would be scarier to come face to face with a samurai who's legend of being a ghost is spreading across the country side if he had a blindfold over his eyes versus a scary mask. It would be freaky as hell.

If you find all the hotsprings you get a loin cloth costume. Now that's scary.

Decided to jump back in and finish up the rest of the trophies.
- Got the Legendary Thief trophy. I guess it is a easter egg for Sly Cooper. Never played it, any good?
- Got the "Ghost Transcendent" armor dye. Woot! woot!. Oh Taka. *don't-look-at-me-got-dust-in-my-eye-look-away!.
- Last slog was hunting down the rest of the Sashimono Banners. Eeesh, that was exhausting.
Unlocked all the trophies now. I'm sure there are quite a few flowers left, but eff that, I'm not going to try and get all of those. You guys notice how in the north/cold climate the flowers were quite noticeably smaller and muted, and not as easy to spot? Nice touch that.
I guess some DLC is coming soon for Ghost of Tsushima. Is it going to be free? I'll check it out.
Right now though I am sort of open game/sandbox worn out. Need to take a break from this type of game now before Cyberpunk 2077 and/or Assassin's Creed Valhalla drop in a few months. Damn, I think with those two the choice is easy, but I do love me some Vikings, so I am torn.

It's free right?
I'm trying to wrap my head around the two player mission aspect to this. I hope more is described about that. I get the co-op type deal where you (and 3 others?) take on some version of popular online multiplayer options. But the two player story thing is hazy to me. I'm guessing a partner and you have to play certain tasks/roles to play through a compact story composed of various side quests/missions?

I think you get to do raids and quests like the main story ones, but with buddies. There are 4 classes to mix things, so you can have a Hunter, Ronin or whichever, with specialist skills.

Definitely play it for the introduction with Gyozen and his walking you through the capabilities of each class. The music if soooo fucking epic. Oh, and ghost dogs!
Barely scratched the surface but had a blast. Played as a samurai. There looks to be a lot of unlocks, if that is your thing. Pretty bad ass that this is free.

For the limited amount of time I have spent on the Legends dlc, I've had a blast. Although I can see where it might get old hat after awhile, but I guess the amount of stuff you can unlock is enough of a reward loop to stay at it.
It really clicks when you have a representative from each class. Not sure if the match making has that in the algorithm when a team is created, but I've had happy results with the diversity of the classes each time I've played. Love it when the Hunter in the group knows where to set up, at a distance, and lets loose with the arrows.

Got on and an update started downloading. Anyone know what that is about? It's just shy of 1GB in size, so I'm guessing bug fixes.

Ghost of Tsushima won Game Award for art direction. Makes perfect sense. A beautiful game through and through.

If you haven't played Ghost of Tsushima, you've denied yourself one of the most singularly best video game experiences . . . ever. Just sayin'.

Someone should send this to that one guy who was recently bawbagging about the game being appropriation.

Bawbagging?
