True. And in a 9-player game it's harder for one player to impact the agenda phase as much. So the Politics card's Speaker part becoming more powerful is a nice balance to the agenda part being less useful.

It's true, you were my neighbour, I had a pretty resources/influence weak slice, did not play the Hacan's trades as intelligently as I should have (i.e. costs for trading for people like any Hacan player has stated up front in every subsequent game) and Twelve ended up betraying me, so it wasn't ONLY because of the speaker token being kept on the other side of the table that I did poorly, but it certainly made it more difficult to get anything really useful done or dig myself out of the hole that I was in. Plus you were Yssaril with like 15 action cards at one point so you were able to wiggle out of pretty much anything anyone could try to do to stop you!

To be fair the board canceled the deal when they killed my troops. Now with Tatts threatening my troops again and with our history I have to play knowing he will. I cant wait. My game is already on a knife's edge.

To compensate you I will wash your current commodities and I'll refresh them again and trade with you when I pop trade. There is also the possibility you will also gain some tech.

If you really dont want to lose your troops then help convince Tatts to use his action card on someone else other than you or me then I'll wait until you can pull out.
