Bollocks, dropped the ball sorry. Manic weekend & week.

Vote is in. I'm a no because with a stacked deck we're unlikely to get information on Nom as he'll likely get 2 fascist policies. It's also a great chance for Nevynn to pass two and discard a liberal. I dislike a president getting his election through when we know so little about his own proclivities.

He says after voting ja to every other president having known nothing about them.

Yes, earlier on when there was a reasonable chance of a liberal card being present that was a good basis for seeing how people play. When the cards are stacked in favour of fascists the last people I want in power are unknown because it'd be far too easy for a fascist president (i.e. you) to say you had 3 fascist policies so had to pass 2 when in fact you'd discarded a liberal - and we would have no way of knowing as the cards would be put together and shuffled again immediately after you.

I've already voted but you make a lick of sense. I trust Nom would pass a Liberal policy as he has before, and I am sure that Nevyn would want to pass off as a Liberal so thought if there was a chance of Liberal policy that these two could pass it.

Plus it means we HAVE to accept you to avoid Fascist D'rek. So make sure you pick a good chancellor. Is it possible for you to pick Nom again if he does not get accepted? Otherwise, maybe Venge

Counting a lot of chickens there...

If I understand Mess correctly he's voting Nein to bring himself into presidency this term as the 'known factor?'

Wouldn't he be more valuable as the president on the term after should a fascist policy be the result?

You know, so he could actually use a power should a fascist card come up?

Aam I missing something?

The president who enacts the policy gets the power. Although every fascist policy for the rest of the game comes with a power
Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

First, there is still a 60% chance a liberal card will be present, so lets not overstate that, especially while you are pushing for this presidency to go to yourself. There is not just a reasonable chance a liberal policy will be there, it is more likely than not.

Second, with 2-1 fascist cards, there is always an opportunity for a fascist president to ditch a liberal policy, so the notion that your permissiveness earlier was logical is a bit off.

More importantly, why would you care if a new player claimed 3 fascist now? Even with increased odds, no one would believe me, and I'd be excluded. We've locked out Drek and Tatts on a 50% chance. We've locked out Cause for switching a vote in a sketchy way.

The player who would stand to benefit the most from this deck state would be someone who had been hiding as Hitler and desperately needed to get to 3 fascist policies passed without arousing suspicion. For an unknown player at this stage, the situation is really no different than it was for Nom or Venge.

Because a new player has no previous information about them available. If someone were to be part of two fascist policies passing then we can be pretty sure there is a fascist around, them or one of the other positions. If you pass 2 fascist we have no idea based on previous play to be suspicious or not. I'd rather not have an unknown hoping for a 1/5 chance of a possible liberal policy when there will be no chance to analyse future card draws and deduce anything from them. I'd prefer to have it pass to me, yes, because I've been given the choice twice and chose liberal twice.

Anyway it is all moot now as votes are in.

Again, it is a 3/5 chance, not 1/5. Please stop setting it up like a liberal policy is unlikely. 5 cards left, Pres gets 3 of them. If they pass 2 fascist, more likely than not they are fascist.

That was .... unexpected

For the record, I passed Nom 1 of each, so definite fascist there.

I am leaning towards investigating Cause, but I am open to other suggestions. Investigation will be official tomorrow morning EST
