Salutations.
I humbly accept Dreks nomination. I will be honored to serve as your Chancellor (did i spell it right? Who knows, voters dont care?!)
To assuage all concerns I am a peacetime politician.
I hope to serve the government by assisting in the flow of origanum, cinnamon and dried garlic.
I like long walks in the park and ofcourse waiting till Jean gets here.

The spice must flow huh?
Is there any danger in just voting yes to this? We lack any knowledge at this point to determine anything, we need to see what policies these two try to enact before the game really begins?

So I guess we all should forward our votes to the mod so whoever that is (Mac?) can reveal them simultaneously?

Is that a Gentlemen Bastards reference? I'm not sure why but I have a feeling that it is
If it is then I've nothing against this nomination.

Well that goes against the rules apparently
So, any other exceptions?
Also should we bold or something?
Has Tatts officially voted and proposed a counter nominee? Can anyone quote how counter-nomination works?

We have 5 Liberals and 2 Fascits plus 1 Hitler.
Secret Hitler is played in rounds.
Each roundhas an Election to form a government, aLegislative Session to enact a new Policy, and anExecutive Action to exercise governmental power.
ELECTION1. Pass the Presidential Candidacy
At the beginning of a new round, the Presidentplacard moves clockwise to the next player, whois the new Presidential Candidate.
2. Nominate a Chancellor
The Presidential Candidate chooses a ChancellorCandidate by passing the Chancellor placard toany other eligible player.
The PresidentialCandidate is free to discuss Chancellor optionswith the table to build consensus and make itmore likely the Government gets elected.
Eligibility:The last elected President and Chancellor areterm-limited, and ineligible to be nominatedas Chancellor Candidate.

If a majority of players votes yes:
The Presidential Candidate and ChancellorCandidate become the new President andChancellor, respectively.
If three or more Fascist Policies have beenenacted already:Ask if the new Chancellor is Hitler. Ifso, the game is over and the Fascists win.Otherwise, other players know for sure theChancellor is not Hitler.Proceed as usual to the Legislative Session.

It says discuss it until we are ready to vote and then vote, so we either do this or go with the flow until round 2.

We don't need to know more than this at this stage, so do we all agree with D'rek's appointment of Dolmen under the guise of being next in the list? Next round Dolmen gets to be President, so that's quite some power early on.

I've read the rules just don't remember all the details and I'm on phone en
So there's no counter-nomination, once a president nominee officially nominates a chancellor it can't be changed and we're to simply vote yes or no, if we vote no the next person in line is nominated president instead and we start the round again
Now, Dolmen has been officially nominated a Chancellor by Drek and we're now all to vote (openly on thread one by one, as contrary to the rules) ja or nein to this government?

Nein is my vote.
Macros presumably moved to the vote fast because no one knows anything yet, so there isn't much to discuss.

Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish
Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

The only thing resembling counter nomination can be done in the phase before a new president officially nominates a chancellor

Any reason you're opposed to D'rek/Dolmen government?

3 reasons:
1) Spite. D'rek did not choose me.
2) I am near the bottom of the order. If we start approving first president's governments, I will not be president until very late, and usually by then people aren't approving unknown players.
3) I consider it fairly good practice until I have more information to try and prevent governments fairly often. More rejected governments mean more votes and more information.
