You are gaining information about uninformed votes while fostering an environment where any approving vote can be explained. Good luck with that.

AKA the whole point (and fun) of the game!

I have sent in a ja vote. I think until we get at least one government and see what it does its all just blind conjecture going nowhere.

For now we just need to remember that dolmen chose messremb 'cause it seemed most likely'

Lies.

Interesting. Did Cause miss that the votes are made public...?

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

I think you misunderstood. It is wildly clear that no one is going to follow my approach.

Then what was the point?

But D'rek was hinting that I want Tatts as president (or maybe Venge), and was using that policy to try to get that result.

No I wasn't.

You said this

Besides, if you're proposing this then probably you are a fascist and the other fascist is somewhere in the turn order that makes for a convenient election where you can vote yes without it breaking your "system".

The next fascists in the turn order who would have gotten yesses under my system were Tatts and Venge.

So yes, you were
Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

Your assumed interpretation is incorrect.

I shall refrain from any such thing until after the policy of the day has been chosen, as I do not wish to influence the President and/or Chancellor's decisions.

So got my pick, made my pick. Waiting on Chancellor.

The lie from Cause is worth waaay more attention than it got?

I’m inclined to not be voting his direction should his turn crop up or anyone be mad enough to elect him candidate.

I'm waiting on Mac then. Perhaps in future we PM chancellor and Mac together, unless there is a problem there?

Agreed too that the Cause change is worth noting but let's hear from him first.

And we now begin the pantomime again.

We have a new President.

President Tatts.

Tatts, who do you choose as your chancellor?

*Nods approvingly at Dolmen*

Handed one of each. Likely Dolmen discarded a fascist? Since I wasn't handed the 2nd fascist and the liberal discarded instead Dolmen is seeing how I choose whilst putting himself in a positive light. Not clear just less murky.

I'd listen to discussions obviously but my initial instinct is to vote Messremb Chancellor again because we got a liberal policy.

Yep, if you have been in a government, you can not be chancellor next round.

Curiously, Cause was composing a reply an hour or so ago, as was Dolmen. Neither posted.

Currently and without re-reading I'd consider Nom, Venge and maybe D'rek

I'm at work. Just hard to get the time.

I changed my vote last night, then fell asleep and had no time to explain before the reveal, thought id have time to explain this morning but lab drama. I actually was going to suggest we force ourselves into a corner to the third attempt at making a government. Then the defacto vote from everyone should be to form the government or we get a 2/3rd chance automatic fascist policy. I thought it would be the most enlightening to then see who voted no, or if we all voted yes to see what policy we ended up with. The fascists can never vote no under these circumstances and would be extremely brave to enact a fascist policy no? repeat?

The only cover remaining to them at that point would be that all 3 policies that showed up were fascist and forced their hands. In such circumstances never let the same 2 people form a government together again?

Not a fan of Nevyn's approach either because it gives away very little about them. There's never going to be enough facts to guarantee liberals the win, we always have to operate with unknown variables in order to move forward. And it's what you do with the unknowns that gives others hints about your alignment, so because there's always unknowns we shouldn't resort to default votes because that limits the information we give away about ourselves to the minimum, and it might not give away any facts but hints are just as essential to this game as facts.

Also I'm not particularly inclined to vote Ja because what Nevyn said, I'm the 3rd president nominee and I know I'm liberal so there's that.
