The whole Mason Greenwood saga is currently doing my head in.

The amount of people with the opinion "he's not been taken to court, therefore he never did anything, therefore he should immediately be reinstated because he's good at football" is depressing.

Hint: something not been taken to court for to evidential difficulties does in no way means he's not done anything.

I hope he never wears the United shirt again.

I just don't understand how he can breach bail conditions and have nothing happen... and he breached by contacting the victim... now they are back together and she has withdrawn as a witness, all just an epic shambles.

Aye, innocent until proven guilty, charges are dropped and he has a clean record. People are comparing it to the Thomas Partey situation but nope, the photos and audio are more than enough to show what type of fuckwad this kid is and he should be let nowhere near the club.

He shouldn't play football again but we all know he'll be snapped up the moment United (hopefully) cancel his contract.

Be assured shitloads of money changed hands very quietly.

He isn't the first and won't be the last, in any highly-paid sport really. Sadly. :(

Hmmm, stupid to put his hands there but it doesn't look like he's choking Hughes.

video unavailable in this country.

But yeah, greenwood shouldn't have a career in football after this, but if (when?) United let him go he'll piss off and play in continental Europe no grief alas

Citeh? Financially dodgy? Nawwwwww ... :p

Manchester City charged with more than 100 financial breaches and could be kicked out Premier League or docked points
One of the biggest football clubs in the world is facing expulsion from their league after more than 100 financial breach charges.

Then again they're probably all doing it. Just Man Shitty being the worst example.

Couldn't happen to a nicer club...

It's ridiculous to be honest it's been known for years, as soon as they tried to say they brought in more income than Real/Barca/United and Liverpool the financial doping should have been stopped then.

If found guilty in theory they could get hoofed out of the EPL and that would be glorious!

Mourinho could end up with a United title!

Gerrard's slip could also be rewarded with a title if they back date point deductions too.

Though this season, as things stand, if they got a 15 point deduction they'd still be ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea!

Someone pointed out that Ole would get one too haha. I think both United and Liverpool could end up with 3 apiece!

If they do anything they'll do a point deduction this season to be harsh and minimum actual impact...

Aye, if it is a full retroactive deduction that covers all seasons to the start of the "doping" it will be three a piece. I read somewhere though that it was only up to 2018-19 so Ole wouldn't get one.

Who knows what is going to happen though. I would hope they will be made an example of so it doesn't happen again. Money talks though, obviously.

Watching FIFA Uncovered on Netflix.
I always knew it was bad. But THIS bad? Oh wow. It's like there wasn't ever a single moment of decency, it was always just various levels of corruption.
From mild and almost boys club-ish up to the 70s, to the blatant gobsmacking greed and stupidity of Russia and Qatar winning. It's like the world in a microcosm - money, bullshit and evil always win. :(
The worst part is their straight up lying defence about what happened. They genuinely must think we are that stupid. It's Trump-level bald-faced effrontery.
Well, I guess in the end they must be right, because what consequences did any of those involved suffer? Two-fifths of fuck-all.

In Sombratopia, all people like this are violently purged. For starters. :p

Speaking of corruption, it looks like Qataris are going to be owning United now. Not particularly happy about that but their promises of infrastructure and clearing the debt are exactly what we need so everyone else seems quite keen on it.

The Premier League will be the death of European football if you keep letting this bullshit in. It's a sportswashing at its worst and it is strangling all the other European competitions. The Super League in some shape or form is almost inevitable like this now. Sad times, I thought that atleast manU was still a club of the people.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Yeah, nah. "Promises" don't mean much to people with that sort of wealth and power. If they do keep any and keep their noses out of player management I'll be pleasantly surprised. What's PSG's experience?

Well, ManU stopped being that sort of club back in the 70s or maybe 80s, before the dark times, before the EPL. That's when money asserted itself openly as the real power.

100% agreed on sportswashing. B
ut's it's one indicator of a pattern the oil and gas rich states in that region have been following for a while - diversifying the heck out of their investments, putting their money everywhere else while the oil and gas lasts for when it doesn't. No idea how private electric vehicles are going to affect their oil revenue - not much effect for a long time I'd guess though.

Aww yiss beating Barcelona. I know they're not the team they were a few years back, but they're still a force to be reckoned with. Also the fans singing songs directed at Frenkie de Jong is just funny.

And we didn't lose 5-2 after being 2-0 up either!

We Dutchies could have told you this ages ago (and did): Ten Hag is a genius. Not sure if he is Pep level, but he is definitely close. The things he did with Utrecht and Ajax were immense. Although getting a player like Casimero in your squad helps a lot as well, of course.
